Ok so I read through the documentation, especially this portion:
There are hosting providers that prevent creating directories in theme files by plugins as a security measurement. No worries, we have an easy solution for your situation. Open UM-Profiler and copy the file: ultimate member to your theme directory:
wp-content/themes/your-theme/ultimate-member
Inside ultimate-member you will find the new templates as: Skin1, Skin 2, etc. Next you will see all templates via Styling: General/templates
But what is this so-called ultimate member file that is inside UM-Profiler??? All I see are: changelog, css folder, js folder, settings.php, templates folder, um-profiler.php… there is no ultimate-member.
Or do you mean to copy the entire ultimate member plugin folder to the theme folder? Please can you make the documentation more clear, with maybe a screenshot?

Hi there,
That step is only needed if you have trouble when you activate the plug-in. In Some cases our plug-in cant create a directory direct into your theme folder. And then you need to copy the files to your theme. As this is the way Ultimate members works with templates. But anyway have you installed the plug-in?

Yes I have installed the plugin and I’m having this issue. But the documentation isn’t clear about what files exactly to copy to the theme. There is no file called “ultimate member” within the zip I downloaded from Envato. Please if you could elaborate I would appreciate it. And also maybe update the documentation to be more clear.
So yes, plugin is installed. But then under my membership, in the right panel titled Styling: General, default template is the only option. I thought this would be way more straightforward 🙁

Thank you!
So I’ve taken the steps you outlined but the options are still not appearing for me. Just to be clear, the file hierarchy goes like this:
theme folder > ultimate-member folder > templates folder > php template files
correct?
Otherwise I will just replace the specific template I want using the Ultimate Member documentation on creating/adding templates
