The MIZZO admin panel is so easy to use that beginners as well as professionals can set up their website very easy. At the Mizzo admin panel you’ll find these tabs: General, Sociables, Footer, Fonts, Colors, Category setup and Sidebar.
The General tab allows you to select your preferred favicon, logo, and white label logo for your website. Just click the Upload Image buttons to set.
Mizzo lets you integrate your social media profiles to your website. Click Sociables and input your account names to the provided text boxes. Sociables also allows you to customize your social profile’s logo.
The footer allows you to fill in your copyright name and copyright link (url)
The other great thing about Mizzo is its comprehensive font tool. To use this feature, select the Fonts tab. In here, you can specify the fonts you want to apply to your website’s heading and paragraph texts. A real-time preview is available for your convenience. You can also set the font sizes of your logo, menu, sub-menu, slogan, H tags, paragraph, and copyright name.
Next to Font is the Colors tab. You can specify here the color of your website’s footer, footer font, paragraph font, page title, headings font, link, and link hover.
One of Mizzo’s most useful features is Category Setup. This tool lets you classify your site’s categories into Blog or Portfolio.
Another built-in tool you can find on Mizzo is Sidebar. Using this feature, you can create customized sidebars, in which you can then populate using Widgets.
First of all think about the structure of your Menu. This simplifies the building of your website during the following stages. Don’t give the menu names that are very long or ‘too long’.
Create all pages according your menu structure. Open your WordPress account and proceed to Pages. Underneath it, you’ll see All Pages and Add New. Click the latter. That should give you a blank space where you’re going to write your content for the page. Wait with placing content, photos or plug-ins. Their turn will come later on.
Define menus for the Header. Go to menu’s, add menu and save this menu. On the left side you can pick the menu. If you want to use our menu you have to select it. You also can keep it as back-up menu. At this point you may want to create a footer menu with some sub links, which are not necessary in the main menu. You also need to set this on the left side (Footer menu).
If you want to use a sidebar on a page, go to the page in the admin. On the right site you can choose template -> sidebar. The last thing you need to do now is add some widgets. The menu structure is defined and the navigation is ready.
To access it, open your WordPress account and proceed to Pages. Underneath it, you’ll see All Pages and Add New. Click the latter. That should give you a blank space where you’re going to write your content for the page.
Once you’re done, look to the right and search for Page Attributes. Choose the parent page or the main menu from the drop-down list. The Order tells you the position of the submenu among the submenus (does it appear first, second, third, etc.). If it’s the only submenu, you can just give it the value of 0 (default).
Now what if you don’t have a parent page? You don’t have really leave the window you’re in. Just make sure that the Parent Attribute says No Parent before you save your created page. That will become the main menu.
NOTE:
Are Categories Different from Pages?
Yes, they are. As mentioned, pages are often treated as menus and are usually static. Categories, on the other hand, properly classify your content or blog post. This way, it’s much easier for your visitors to navigate through the different pages or find niche topics within your website or blog.
