    Hi Michael,

We totally agree with you and we have our own internal discussions about it as well. We also consider to release two versions of themes to reach seperate target groups, and as you described in your post.

Our clients are also free to send requests for making themes compatable with plugins like Shopp. We customize themes for individual clients as well. (if its an appropriate plugin of course).

We take suggestions and requests very seriously and we really like to know what theme buyers have on their mind. This way we’re are able to respond much better. If we get multiple requests, we certainly take this into account.

btw, an updated version of Freeze is available right now, and which you can download the same way as your previous version.

    Have a nice weekend!

    Helen,

G’Day and thanks for your prompt reply.

Yes, I do agree with you re theme buyers wanting to get the best theme for the cheapest cost, but if one looks at the website developers who would be purchasing a theme for a client, then that cost would/should be built into the overall project cost.

I’m pretty sure that there are no statistics available, but I wonder how many theme buyers purchase a theme and never use all of the full features, eg: like Freeze and Mikmag. As an example, I purchased Mikmag and am using it for a site but don’t have any intention of using the features to incorporate the WooCommerce or bbPress options. And the same could be said for Freeze, I like its features but don’t think I’d use the WooCommerce options.

So, if a theme is made with great features and has the option to have the Shopp eCommerce plugin added at the buyers discretion then the theme still should sell. Obviously when marketing this type of theme one would indicate that an additional cost would need to be met to utilize the eCommerce features, and that support for this plugin is via a third-party.

    An interesting discussion.

    Cheers,

    Michael.

    G’Day.

So, some food for thought ……….

I know that Freeze, like a good number of other ecommerce-ready themes on the market have support for WooCommerce, probably mainly because it is effectively open source and free. And that is fine. But having looked at a number of the free and premium eCommerce plugin solutions that are out there I would like to suggest that the Theme-Dutch group consider having a theme compatible with the Shopp eCommerce plugin.

Yes, it is a premium plugin (at $55), but having seen what it does and the features that it has (via a training webinar from a non-bias trainer) I must say that it really appears to be superior to all the others, although Cart66 does also have some nice features as well.

Already another theme developer has a created a theme to take account of the Shopp plugin, and I think that website developers looking for a better solution for their clients will want to use Shopp with quality themes - like those that Theme-Dutch produces.

Details on the Shopp eCommerce plugin are at: https://shopplugin.net/

And NO, I do not have any affiliation whatsoever with any of the eCommerce plugins.

    Cheers,

    Michael.

    Hi!

Love the Freeze theme! It’s beautiful and sleek.

I’ve created a layered slider and have four slides each with just two layers. Somehow each layer automatically gets a a Title tag of “sublayer” which shows when you hover over the image. I’d like to remove this as it’s ugly and serves no purposes whatsoever.

I noticed it also does it on your demo - http://www.mojo-themes.com/item/freeze-multi-business-wp-theme/demo/

Any ideas on how to remove this?

    Thanks,

    Louise
