So do I have to pay to get my logo in the center? The “center” logo function is not working with my theme and hasn’t been working for a while. I still have not gotten support from anyone. Then while I contacted support for a customization inquiry for a different reason, I was told this is considered customization so I’ll have to pay. My question is if this is customization WHY is this an option in the theme.
Attached is how my logo looks in the “center”….It’s clearly not centered.
Hi Ashanti.
Looking at your example, I must congratulate you, nice work!
Let me ask you a question? How come you want your logo centered?
Obviously your log is designed to represent an electric guitar. Well done and clever I must add!
We are conditioned to read left to right, our eyes follow the learned behavior without thinking.
May I suggest the length of you logo and the length of your menu are balanced from a composition perspective on the left, with the menu appearing as a perceptible jump being the natural extension of the guitar—the amp cord—to great music.
The menu even resembles an extended Tremolo arm.
Ashanti, I thought I would share my thoughts. 🙂
Respectfully…
James
Hi Ashanti,
Here’s what happens. The space above the main menu in Mikmag has been divided in two parts. On the left you have the logo part, on the right there’s the menu+sociable part.
Because this right side has been reserved to fit sociables and the search bar as well as a top menu, the logo part of the header only uses up 50% of the top space. The alignment options will align it to the left, center or right within those boundaries.
