Home › Forums › Mikmag WordPress theme › Grey below background image?
So I put an image on my main page and no matter what I do, it cuts off the bottom part to insert ‘grey’ to the bottom of the page. How do I get my background image to be on the whole page and remove the grey bottom half? Mikmag 2.1, wp 3.6. The options seem to indicate that ’tile background’ and stuff like that should work but they don’t help at all.
Hi Aaron,
Could you perhaps share with me a link to your website? I’d like to take a look what the grey appears to be exactly.
Thanks
Kevin
You can actually go to your own demo site off of themeforest to see what I mean. You have a wood background that goes down the page but at the bottom there’s grey instead of continuing wood. It seems to be associated with the footer. I want to get rid of that grey.
Hi Aaron,
This is indeed part of the footer. The reason I asked for the URL was to see whether it was that grey area or another one some have asked about a while ago. However, if it’s the footer area, getting rid of only the wide part of the grey background isn’t poossible through the theme options and would require some code changes. You can however get rid of the entire footer background color by inserting transparent as a value in the theme options at appearance -> mikmag -> colors -> footer -> Footer background.
You could try that to see how it looks on your website

How exactly do you insert transparent as a color? Is there a code for it? I see exactly where to change it, just don’t know what value to change it too. 🙂
Hi Aaron,
Just type the word transparent 🙂 It should understand that and insert it into the generated css.
With kind regards,
Kevin
Awesome, that totally worked. Huge help. 🙂
