Hi,
I’m using wordpress 3.6 and buddypress 1.8.1, two days ago I purchased your wonderful theme Mikmag 2.1. But I’m facing a big problem with buddypress activity stream,
1) As a registered user, I can’t put an activity from sitewide activity page, user profile activity page and group activity page. Because activity post button is disappeared.
Note: I’m asking about “What’s new, testuser?” text area related activity post button.
2) Even though, as usually all activities are displayed in activities page, When I go to put a comment for an activity, whole page is refreshed. I don’t know whether it is default behaviour of this theme. Ok, if it is the default behaviour, then not a big problem. When I put a comment to an activity, comment is submitted and “Reply” & “Delete” buttons are displayed half way. And when I go to reply to my comment by myself, nothing is happened. I’ can’t put a reply to my comment.
3) Another thing, Even though, I have downloaded Mikmag 2.1 version, when I go to admin panel Mikmag menu item area, it shows as Mikmag 2.0.
4) In additionally buddypress group widget, members widget, whos online widget, recently active members widget give some alignment issues.
I went through your theme manual guide, Is there any additional things to do, related with buddypress activity stream?
I didn’t install any other plugins. I just installed wordpress, buddypress & your theme and tested. Besides, I tested your theme with wordpress 5.2, buddypress 1.7.2. But, unfortunately same result.
I’m wondering about this strange behaviour with this kind of powerful theme. We have to give our client release within next week, But we can’t give it with this big issue. In this time we are in a really trouble situation.
Please, I’m expecting a positive feedback from you asap. Further details I attached some screenshots herewith. Please find it.
Thanks,
Chathuranga.

Hi Isuru,
We’ve had some bug reports on buddypress lately and yours appear to be similar.
I’m sending your topic through to our development team. It is very detailed so that will really help us, thank you for that.
We’ll be working on updating Mikmag to fix those bugs, however I don’t expect that we will be able to do so in this next week as we’re working hard on our other themes as well and we’ve got a fairly small team.
As I post this through to our development team, I will also be asking if there’s a way we could speed this up, perhaps with premium support. I’ll get back to you on this.
With kind regards,
Kevin

Hi Isuru,
I’m back on this, had a little chat with the development team and they are going to try and attack these bugs as soon as possible. They are aiming for next tueseday. I can’t make any promises though but that’s what I know for now.

Hi Kevin,
Thank you very much for your special attention about my issues. I’m also trying to solve some of these issues as much as possible. I changed some code lines of theme-buddypress.css. With the changes that I made, appearance of some buddypress widgets is better than it was. Though I’m not a theme expert, I thought of sharing the CSS changes that I made with you. I think this may be helpful to your developers, to speed up the bug fixing process. The CSS changes and some screenshots are attached herewith. Please, find it.
Thanks,
Chathuranga.

Hi Kevin,
I hope, bug fixing process is going well with your developers team 🙂 . Recently, I found another important issue, that is buddypress groups “Join Group” and/or “Leave Group” buttons are invisible. I’m very sorry for informing about issues, times to time. But we haven’t any option other than inform it to you. I believe you can understand our situation.
Thanks,
Chathuranga.

Hi Isuru,
I’ve added this one to the list.
Of course bug fixes aren’t the most fun part of developing themes, but we want to provide good products so they are a vital part of the process. Any bugs not found in the beta phase will still have to be removed whenever they are found :). And with that, it’s a good thing to be aware of what bugs we have.
With kind regards,
Kevin

I have the same problem with the activity and group forum where the join group is not visible. It looks like other people are having the same issue above but they don’t say how they resolved and Kevin not sure if you are the developer but you mention you are working on it. I really need to resolve this I don’t want to start another theme and i paid for this theme.
please help asap.

Hi Teelinks,
May I ask what version of the theme you are currently working on? I believe the issues that the client above had were resolved with September 7th update to Mikmag2.2 That version is now available for download on themeforest. When bought, new versions can be downloaded there for free.
With kind regards,
Kevin

Hi Teelinks,
Do try downloading the latest version. The image may not have changed with the 2.2 update, if that’s what you are referring to. When the theme is uploaded it will say 2.2 for the version That’s how you’ll be sure.
