Imbedding youtube videos in posts?

  I thought that this would be easy, but I can’t seem to get any way to work that I try. If I do a direct post of this test video:
  
  It shows up huge and won’t scale even if I put the &w and &h things with it. I tried youtube shortcodes (like [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaNH56Vpg-A&w=320&h=240] ), that didn’t help either. I’m sure that there’s just some trick that I’m not aware of to make it smaller or fit into a column (I’d really like to put it into a column). Thanks!

  I don’t believe mikmag features a youtube embed shortcode. However, if you grab youtube’s embed code (under the video hit share, embed) you will see that one features a height and width specification. You could use that code.

  I was able to get it working by using the embed like you mentioned and then switching from visual to text/html. Without switching it didn’t show up, although posting a direct link in visual would make it show up. Somewhat quirky wordpress thing there. Thanks for your help.

  Ah alright, yeah visual editor is sometimes a little annoying for things like this. I’m glad you got it to work!
