Hi,
Just wanted to ask if Mikmag will work well if I migrate to WP 3.7 ?

Hi Purnendu,
Mikmag still needs to be checked/updated for WP3.7. For now I can’t give any guarantee that it will be fully compatible.
Kind regards,
Kevin

Oh snap, I just upgraded too.
So far I can report that in WP 3.7.1 the latest MikMag theme appears to be working ok.. EXCEPT for BUDDYPRESS.
Clicking member names in order to see their profile, or clicking a group to view that group results in a 404. Activity stream and Group list page seems to work. I did refresh permalinks already too.
I am using BP 1.8.1 (latest)

Hi Justin,
Thanks for your update, I’ll add that to the watchlist for our mikmag update to 3.7
Kind regards,
Kevin

Please let me know, I was excited about finally using buddypress. I have no other BP plugins running at this time.

Update: I had to reset my permalinks to ‘default’ and then back to custom.
At first I just re-saved the same settings which fixes these kinds of errors, even tried deleting BP and starting over. Then I found: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/navigation-links-lead-to-buddypress-404
Appears to be working again, I’ll keep you posted with any other fixes/bugs. 🙂

Spoke too soon: seems that it only appeared to be working sorry 🙁
Switching to default permalinks makes all BP pages work but the rest of the site is having ugly urls. If I switch to any other permalink setting back to the same problem, groups and user pages 404. Works only if default permalinks are on. I thought it was working because when set to default only the buddypress pages have pretty urls. Very odd.
I am researching…

Update: I was using a plugin called 404 to Start which redirects all 404s to homepage. So far it appears to have resolved it. Whew!

Hi Justin,
If I’m reading this properly, deactivating the 404 to Start appeared to solve the buddypress linking issue? is that correct?
Your updates on this bug (and others if you may find them) are very helpful, thanks.
Kind regards,
Kevin

Hi Purnendu,
Changed and added features for the update are currently actively being planned out. I can’t quite accurately say when the work on the update itself will start though. we’re currently working on an update for the Aziza theme, I’m not yet sure if the mikmag update will be straight after that.
Kind regards,
Kevin
