Mikmag version 2.2
Wordpress version 3.8.1I can’t edit my sliders anymore. I can create a new slider, but the form fields won’t appear. Also I can add a slide to a Slider, but the form fields won’t appear.

Hi Roland,
Could you please verify your purchase with us by adding your envato purchase code to your theme-dutch.com profile, so we can verify you as a customer.
We can only provide support to verified customers.– Go to your downloads section on themeforest.com, click the download button next to the mikmag theme and select License certificate & Purchase code. Open the textfile and copy the purchase code.
– Go to theme-dutch.com and head to my-account -> my profile (top-right), then click edit profile, add your envato purchase code down in the verification information and save your profile.Kind regards,

Hi Roland,
Thank you for verifying your purchase,
This problem is most likely to be caused by either of these two things:
1) Plugin conflict
It could be that the theme is having a conflict with one of your installed plugin (If so, it’s most probably a jQuery conflict, judging by the situation) You can try turning off all of your installed plugins to see if the issue will remain. If it solves the issue, turn your plugins back on one by one to find which plugin is causing the issue.2) WP incompatibility
This is a very probable option as well. Mikmag is currently still only compatible up to wp3.6.1, You say you’re using WP3.8.1, It could be something caused by this tested compatibility gap. I do know though that our development team is working on updating our themes (mikmag included) to wp3.8 compatibility.Kind regards

Hi Kevin,
1) Tried this one. Didn’t help unfortunatly.
2) When do you expect an update of the MikMag theme?
Kind regards

Hi Roland,
Part of our development team is actually working on an update to the Mikmag theme right now. I can’t make any promises on dates yet though, as I wouldn’t be able to guarantee that we’d meet those. But we’re working to deliver it soon.
Kind regards,

Hi Kevin,
Finally managed to update the theme. Unfortunatly the sliders are still not editable. Don’t how to further proceed with this issue. Do you have any more possible causes/solutions?
I’ve tried to open the page that is loaded inside the I-frame:
/wp-content/themes/Mikmag/tdframework/core/slider/slider-builder.php?slug=home&slider=Nivo%20slider&name=homeIt still won’t show the slides that are shown on the homepage (double checked the setting on the homepage to be sure that the slider is used…)
Attached is a screenshot of the Network, Console and HTML output. Maybe it rings a bell? Looks like a strange script that is included there.
Thanks for any reply!
Roland

Hi Roland,
The Mikmag theme update was not yet released so as a result, nothing has changed just yet.
We’ve had some setbacks in the updating process but are now again making progress on it, expecting a quick release.Kind regards,

Hi Kevin,
Any news yet? My colleagues are getting anxious on a new release because the items in the slider are not editable and they are out-dated.

Hi Roland,
The Mikmag 3.0 update is currently in its beta stage, being tested. One of the big changes in the theme will be that the Layer slider has been completely separated from the theme. It will be installed with the theme as a plugin, rather than as a built-in theme-option. This has one side effect which is that for this one update your sliders built with the theme-options’ layer slider will no longer work. These sliders will have to be recreated in the layer slider plugin, which in its turn is a massive improvement over what we used to have in mikmag. All layer slider options will be accessible which will greatly improve what you can do with your sliders.
As it is currently in a beta test stage, all there is left to do is fix any bugs that we find. I expect it shouldn’t be too long before the update hits themeforest
Kind regards
Kevin
