Hi,
I’ve just installed the update and noticed that the requests for bug fixes (for example: buttons opening new page, globe multilingual) and a grid for latest posts have not been executed. And I have not tested everything yet.
Why? I’m quite disappointed to be honest… Another theme I’m using for some website has been updated 3 times in the last few months with major improvements, adding extra’s.When can we expect a fix for the bugs mentioned on this forum together with some new features?
Regards,
Chantal -

Hi Chantal,
I’ve gone ahead and tested the button shortcode but that appeared to work for me (including a new window attribute) newwindow=”true”
Have you also updated the TD shortcodes plugin that comes with the theme? As for the multilangual plugin i believe that was a request to also add compatibility with the polylang plugin? It is a request that I’ve sent through as a suggestion for the development team to consider. I think that (at least for now) this suggestion was not included in the update. Probably because the theme is already made compatible with a multilangual plugin. Keeping compatibility with a plugin is often a time-consuming thing and because there already is a multilang plugin it is compatible with this was not decided to be a valuable enough addition to the theme.
Updates on our themes and especially how much new features we can add in themes rely on the potential of a theme. Seeing as this particular theme has not been a top seller, there are only limited funds to work with for this theme. I think that’s the most realistic way to put it. We do try to keep the theme up to date and to resolve bugs, but when a theme appears to be a tough seller, unless we have a golden idea or for some other reason see great potential in a theme, we can quite simply not justify funding for big additions to the theme.
I hope that does answer your question. If you have other specific examples for bugs that you believe have not been taken care of in the update, please do mention them to me because if something got lost in communication with the dev. team that’s definately something I’d like to discuss..
Kind regards,
Kevin -

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for your response.
I hadn’t seen any updates for the TD shortcodes earlier, but in my search I noticed that the zip files are stored under tdframework / addons / plugins. After uploading the ‘new’ TD Shortcodes, TD Folio and LayerSlider by FTP, it appears that they still have the same version as in the previous update. So by testing the button, I still experience the same problem as before. As to the multilingual plugin, my request was to either add compatibility for polylang or to make sure, if you don’t want to add compatibility, that the globe does not show on other multilingual plugins. This seems to me to be a bug as because the globe only should be shown if and when WPML is activated.
I understand the point of view that if a theme is not top seller, less updates will be available. But since people have paid for this theme, I think that putting some effort in updates is not to much to ask.
Kind regards,

Hi Chantal,
Thank you for your further explanation, I very much understand your point and I’d love to have features added to all of our themes. Unfortunately though, that’s not my call. I do try to post as many suggestions as I can though to keep everyone informed of what we might be able to do better.
Right now, I’ll rephrase my suggestion to the dev. team about the globe icon into asking for it to be checked so it will really only show up upon installation of WPML, not on any different plugins.
Also, I’ll ask around about the td-shortcodes version for you, as we do appear to have a version in which that’s working somewhere.
Kind regards,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for your response. I understand that it is not your call, but for a theme that has been first uploaded to themeforest on October 18th, so only a few months old, and already lacking good updates (bug fixes and complying to feature requests) is something I don’t understand. Give it then at least a year… A request that has been made earlier is to have a grid view short code for latest blog and td-folio posts (for example the portfolio grid as in NoTime and Champi).
Regarding the td-shortcodes… The download from themeforest of Aziza version 1.1, the plugin td-shorcodes was version 1.1. as well. The download right now in themeforest, Aziza version 1.2, still contains the plugin td-shortcodes version 1.1. The plugin has not been updated in themeforest. Perhaps you have in your demo theme the updated version, 1.2?
The bug fix for the globe would be very much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Chantal -

Hi Kevin, I can confirm with Chantal that the TD Shortcodes version shows 1.1 in the latest update for Aziza. I updated my theme, and the shortcodes bug with the giant social icons is still an issue with rendering in Internet Explorer.

Hey Mike, where will I find this update?
Thanks,

Hey Whitt,
In your account: https://theme-dutch.com/my-orders/

Ok, I have downloaded the update. The plugins are found in Aziza > tdframework > addons >plugins. I’ve extracted the zip files and uploaded the updated folders via ftp. In IE9 the social media icons still are gigantic on my main page of my site. http://www.treasuring-christ.org.
Am I missing something or doing something wrong?

Hi Whitt,
Are you still having that same issue? When I look at your site in IE(9) it looks the same as in Chrome.
Kind regards,

Here is what I see in IE9. This site looks fine in both Firefox and Chrome.

Hi Whitt,
That’s odd, this screenshot shows what I see. Have you tried clearing the cache? It might be some cached css causing that.
Kind regards,
Kevin -

It was a cloudflare setting on my server setup. I had a cache plugin installed on the actual site, but forgot my host provider has cloudflare set by default. This shows correctly now. Thanks guys!

Hi Kevin,
By updating my second site, I noticed that in the .zip of Aziza 1.2.2 the old version of td-shortcodes (1.1) is present and not the latest.
Version 1.2.1 of td-shortcodes is only present in Aziza 1.2.1.Regards,

Hi Michael,
Please re-downlaod aziza from your td account, there is no version update because it was just a little td shortcodes update.

after last update I noticed some issues with the buttons not only in Chrome but also in IE.
in IE all buttons are misconfigured when it reaches the hover, turning the button white despite being set another color in AZIZA’s options.
in Chrome only buttons using td-shortcodes were misconfigured and they are not comply to the defined in ‘colors – button’ sections in Aziza’s options as they were before. Other buttons, like submit buttons, are ok.
Please, look at the test page: http://www.xtecnologias.com/cnpr -

We added some buttons to the Td-Shortcodes, and they are not all defined in the options section, we added those for more flexibility. Maybe thats what you mean, if not send me a screenshot, http://www.xtecnologias.com/cnpr gives a The requested URL /cnpr was not found on this server.
TD-shortcodes will have a update probably next week, where re-conscrution some bits and parts for IE and Chrome.

I have some reports of people saying that slideshow doesn’t show, icons in the icongrid are cut in the middle, tds-thumbnailslider doesn’t move and it’s possible to see information peeping beneath. All these reports are from IE10 and IE9 users and they represent 15.7% of my visits.

Hi Antonio,
I’m looking at the URL you posted in IE9, IE10 and chrome. I must say I don’t see any differences.
Your slideshow somehow appears to stop at the first slide but it does appear (and it happens in all browsers i mentioned). The TD-thumbnail slider moves in all three browsers but is missing some images (in all browsers as well) probably posts with incorrectly linked featured images. The icon grid view also looks the same to me..
In total I do see some things going wrong but I don’t see any difference between IE9,10 or chrome. Also, I don’t believe these things that do behave strangely are theme-issues as they do work on our demo and test pages.
Kind regards,
Kevin -

Here’s a printscreen from a user reporting the error that I mentioned before. Please take a look.

Hi Antonio,
Thank you for sharing the screenshot.
I’m checking your website in my IE now as well but do not appear to be having this issue myself. Nonetheless I will send this through to our development team. See if they can figure out what could be happening here.
Kind regards,
Kevin -

Kevin, it appears to happen in IE10 and IE9. This user that reported the problem uses IE10.
-
at #63201AnonymousInactive
Hi Antonio,
I’ve indeed checked IE9 and IE10, the problem for us right now is that none of us have succeeded in reproducing the issue on our own systems. That makes it extremely difficult to work out what’s going on and even impossible to check whether any code-changes we do make towards it will fix the issue.
Kind regards,
Kevin -

I understand that because I’m having the same difficulty here. However, this is not the only user to report this issue.

I might need to start this in a new thread, but since it’s under AZIZA – there is an issue with the quote style posts with this latest update to AZIZA. If I create a new post and use the Format > Quote as the style of post here is what ends up happening:
“$s $s
See attached Screenshot. I have a few posts that are using the quote style post and all of them are now showing up like this.
Here is the link to one of the examples.
