Shop widget on home page demo

  Hello, I’ve tried many many times to install the demo content but can’t manage to install it with all content.
  Most of it is there but the content I’m missing is the sidebar widgets and I need to be able to add a shop widget the same as the shop widget on the home page demo with 4 product with active rollovers to ‘add to cart’ & ‘view details’.
  
  Can you please show me how to do this?

  You still have to assign widgets to your sidebar via: appearance/widgets.

  Wow! Ok so the demo doesn’t come with the widgets intact.. Got it.
  It does however come with all the sidebars though.. with no widgets in them so a little confusing for me.
  
  Thanks Helen, can you please show me how to add the products/shop widget as it is in your demo on the home page? It looks and acts the same as the products in the shop but it’s in the sidebar. I can’t work this out and it’s really bugging me! : )

  Use a text widget: give it a title and add this shortcode in the widget
  
  [product_category category=”products” per_page=”4″ columns=”2″ orderby=”date” order=”desc”]
