Hi there,
So I’m up for “a free support” with Dondo.
Theme is installed, first page is set to “blog”. Looks fine.
But I also need an access to the blog by people clicking on any “Categorie”…. but them the blog is displayed differently.
I can’t find how to change the categorie style…
I need help for that.
THANKS

Hi FAB,
Your download zip comes with the Dondo Manual. Please read chapter 08. Dondo options – Category Layout.
Via your dasboard, please visit Appearance / Dondo options / Categories / Categories Layout – Blog.
Here you can change everything.Cheers,

Helen, thank you for that answer, but I did read the manual.
And I did go to Categories / Category Layout. It doesn’t help. Also, I don’t understand what you mean by “Categories Layout – Blog“, there is no such thing in my install.
So, yes, I still have that problem, BLOG and CATEGORIES don’t look the same. At all.
How can I send you a link to my website? (for you to see what I’m talking about)
Thanks

Hi FAB,
The categories have several layout options”
– Option panel
– Select categories
– Hit Add custom category layout + Select Categories
– save and refresh
– Now under categories there will be categories you have selectedNote please check your permalinks, http://modelspice.com/index.php/2015/07/30/model-agency-dondo/
This one is better for SEO
Good luck,
Mike

Seriously the theme-dutch team, I’m starting to lose my patience!
I ALREADY KNOW ABOUT “Add custom category layout” stuff. I’ve been “playing with it for the last 4 days!
DO you think it HELPS? Did you actually tried it? NO IT DOESN’T HELP AT ALL!!!I spent 3 days reading the answers of HELEN repeating endlessly to read the manual (what a joke), and now I have Mike explaining me the manual!
FREE SUPPORT??? WHAT SUPPORT ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT????
The fact is, your framework defines some DIFFERENT display settings for the DEFAULT BLOG and the BLOG CATEGORY…….. WHICH IS NOT NORMAL!!!! ( and here I am NOT talking about left or right columns or stuffs like that)
CLICK ON THE LINKS GIVEN IN MY PREVIOUS MESSAGE, THEN L.O.O.K and then T.H.I.N.K , and explain my how to fix than!!!!
If you guys are not able to help me with that, I will ask for a refund of my theme, because, seriously, I can’t use it the way it is supposed to be used.
REAL answer NEEDED!!!
Regards,

I have been talking to you guys nicely and in a very clear and complete way for more than one week.
I’ve been explaining and re-explaining my problem for one week now.
May I remind you that we are not playing here? We buy theme to save time and therefore money. So Mike, do you think I ever get an answer to my problem? Honestly?
I am here just trying to get “the free support” that you guys are advertising. Free support I paid for since it’s part of the product you are selling.
Since then, I NEVER had any answer corresponding to my question.
So please Mike, be adult and responsible enough 5 minutes to respect your sell contract. My question is still the same: HOW TO GET THE SAME LAYOUT for the DEFAULT BLOG and the BLOG CATEGORIES ?
Can I get an answer to that “simple” question?
Dear Mike, thanks for your answer!
PS: For your information, I made full screen copy of this whole thread.
Any potential future customer may appreciate the way you guys are not answering the question and actually not bringing any efficient support to the paying customers we are. -

Mike, you are right, pictures are better than words.
So, please see my 2 screenshots:
– width of the main content is not the same
– width of the right column is not the sameI need them to be identical.
How can I do that?

Now I see 🙂
You have selected latest post for the home page, when you create a page with or without a sidebar and set it as your home it will show as normal.

Mike, I do want to show the latest posts on the front page.
I just want the “category page” to look the same as the “blog page”.I’ve been asking for that since the 7 of october, and systematically get an answer which didn’t answer my question.
I even sent you guys links to click and pictures to look at.
I even bought your paid SUPPORT.
I’m exhausted now, seriously.
Can I just get an answer to my question?
HOW can get the “category page” looking like the “blog page”?

Hi FAB,
I would like to clarify something.
Our theme is actually not based on the old principle of latest post on the home.
Our themes come with a specific layout and home page design, and sold as the theme’s demo on the marketplace. However, to meet you, we have made an additional adjustment so you can solve this personal issue.
You can download our latest version (October 17) via themeforest right now.Cheers,

Poor guy… whew… Glad that wasn’t me.

“the old principle of latest post on the home”… ho yes, sure, of course… let’s forget those old principles. Better to display old posts on first page…
If your theme is made for WORDPRESS, I do think it is wise to keep the MAIN purpose of WORDPRESS running, meaning blogging. Don’t you think? But whatever, no need to answer. You can close that thread.
