G’Day all.
Have just started working with this great theme and have a couple of questions re the installation of Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster code.
So.
I have installed the Google Analytics code in the indicated spot, and it works – I tested it by going to the Real-Time/Overview option in my account and when I viewed the site in another browser it showed that there was a live visitor.
The two issues I am having are:
1. When I go to Google Webmaster Tools to verify the site, it is unable to do so and I get the following error message: “The Google Analytics Tracking Code on your site is in the wrong position” How can this be if the basic Google Analytics is working. And I have done this process on a number of other sites without any issues. Mmmmm !
2. I want to also install the Bing Webmaster code on the website, so, where do I install the tag that Bing provides?Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation.
Cheers, -

Hi,
This first problem with google analytics, we checked with our own website but didn’t appear to encounter this error. That makes it implausible that the theme would be the reason for this issue.
For your second question, the them doesn’t support bing analytics at this point so the way to insert it would probably be manually. Perhaps there are plugins that can help you though.

G’Day Kevin and thanks for your reply.
First up, is there any idea if the Mikmag theme, and any others from Theme-Dutch, will be supporting Bing Webmaster Analytics directly in the theme.
Secondly, yes, both Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster Analytics provide an alternate way by inserting a small html file in the root directory to provide statistics on website visitors and search options. But this is messy, in my opinion, to having the code inserted in the of the home page, etc.
As most businesses use the full gammit of statistics to monitor their website activity, I would hope that this and other Theme-Dutch themes will be able to accomondate these options. All themes from other developers that I have previously used easily accomondate these code snipits.
Cheers,

Hi Guys,
Sorry Kevin, I think I forgot to give you more info….
Yes you can place your Bing code just like your Google code in the indicated spot: general/miscellaneous just place it below your google code. Please let me now if this works for you guys.
When we update Mikmag we will place a extra indicator for Bing, The label say’s only: Google analytics code but it’s suitable for all Tracking scripts.
And yes you can place your Bing code or whatever Tracking script in all Themedutch themes.
Have a great day, and sorry for the bad communication on my part
Mike
