Home › Forums › Mikmag WordPress theme › Blog page doesn't display sidebar…
Howdy,
I’ve got an issue with the blog page on my site not displaying the sidebar, regardless of what layout option I select for the page. I’ve made a short screen cast documenting the issue here.
Any insight you could offer would be appreciated.
Thanks,
David.
Hi David,
Thanks for that detailed explanation of the issue sure does help understanding the issue 🙂
The main way that we like to set up the blogs (also with out themes) is to use a category instead of a page that shows the posts.
When creating a category (posts->categories) and adding the different posts to it by checking the checkboxes for this category in the post editors, you will be able to customize what this category overview page (basically your blog page) looks like in Appearance -> MikMag -> Categories, Â including sidebars and sliders.
Then when you put the category in your menu (appearance->menu’s) you should be ready to get to it.
Hope that helps
Kevin
Ok, I understand now. That makes sense. Thanks!
How can I put this blog/sidebar page as a default page? without the need to add it in the menu.
Thanks
