This is actually something I haven’t seen or read about before. When exactly does it happen? When uploading images, or is it when selecting the image and hitting insert into post?
Also, is it in background images or in the layers of the slides?

Hi I have reinstalled on a clean URL to test this. It not logging me out on this test install BUT I have a different problem when i try to upload an image to ANY of the sliders. The WP popover form that allows you to select where to upload the image from (PC / URL / Library) is half hidden under the Nivo edit bar so it is impossible to upload an image as i cannot access the whole form.
I have seen this problem reported on this forum over a month ago and TD said they would look into it then but I have not seen any response or details of a resolution. I am running Mikmag 1.3.2 on a WP 3.4.2 install with no plugins installed – just a clean install of Mikmag.
This problem is only affecting sliders – all of them. Uploading of images via the standard WP media library screen is not affected and works find – but I cannot create any sliders.
I have another problem relating to images in that i cannot get both post thumbnails and featured images to display clearly – they are all blurred. I have tried cropping the large image to 750 px wide but still it is blurred when viewing the single post. What settings should i click when uploading a featured image – i have tried uploading an image cropped to exactly 750px wide and selecting the full size image to feature – still blurry. I have also tried uploading a larger image nearly 1000 pixels wide and selecting an image size closer to the 750 px width – but it is still blurry – and the thumbnails themselves on the summary page are also rather blurred. Can you please advise how i can resolve this issue please.
Meantime thank you very much for responding to my ticket today – I really want to use this theme so I hope we can resolve these issues soon as my project now going so slow I may be forced to change theme – which I do not want to do so your help would be much appreciated.
Regards
Gailstorm

Hi Gail,
Could you supply me with a URL so I can take a better look, see if I can find out what’s going on exactly?

Hi Theme Dutch.
Many thanks for your reply requesting my url – which is http://punterpromotions.com/ – purely a test site with little content so far
My first problem listed above now appers to have resolved itself and caused because I changed the site address to use www. whilst the wordpress address did not and this caused a few loginn anomalies in that when i tried to upload images to the slider it kept asking me to login and then rejecting it due to canonical issues – when i got past that issue it then would not allow mne to see the whole image upload form – hiding the top bar where you can select load from a pc / url or media library – i was only able to select an image already showing in the library latest page. Anyway i have now changed the folders back to not use www. for the site address and this issue seems to be fixed – fingers crossed!
As regards my blurred image resizing issue I see that it is not so much the width as the height of the featured image that seems to be affecting focus issues – they all need to be just 200px high – if i have an image say 750 x 500 it is blurry but if i have a 750 x 200 image it appears in focus. I would have preferred not to be straightjacketed to only a 200px high featured image as it now means i need to upload separate images for the featured thumbnails and another one to show the full size image if i want it to be deeper than 200px. Have you any advice for me here?
Meantime – have a very Merry Christmas at Theme Dutch…

Hi Gail,
Manually resizing or cropping images does give better results than having it done automatically since you’d have way more control on how it’ll end up looking, additionally displaying a smaller image will take way less leading spreed. Frankly, I believe that manually resizing it would be the highest quality way to go on this.
