Hello,
I continue to get these error messages:
Warning: mysqli_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in /home/sahbar5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/um-switcher/cron.php on line 22
Warning: mysqli_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in /home/sahbar5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/um-switcher/cron.php on line 29
I’ve read through some of the topics and so I’ve already made sure the General Settings have a city chosen (NYC). Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Could this be a coding issue??
Thank you!

Also getting this error when I try to buy a subscription:
SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0

at #81972adminKeymaster
Hello lazormish,
Do you have version 2.0.3 installed?
– Have you setup the server settings and the new path for your cronjob?
– Open the um switcher products and check if all settings are filled and hit save. ( check if the error has left when you buy a new subscription)If it’s still there, keep me posted and include your php version.
Thanks Mike

I am running version 2.0.3. I setup the server settings and the new path for the cronjob; products are all updated and everything filled in. Still not working with the same errors.
No idea why this is happening. I’ve tried all the suggestions that I’ve read about in the forum. I updated the time in General Settings to a local city (NYC), I’ve made sure I’m using PHP 7 from the server side of things. What am I doing wrong or is this a coding issue?? The people who host my site are suggesting it’s a coding issue since there’s nothing on their end that they see could be wrong.
Please help!
Thank you!

Just FYI, the subscriptions show up in Woocommerce as orders, but the subscription gives the error above (SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0) on the actual page after I “purchased” the subscription. And then it doesn’t do what I’ve set it up to do (allow access to different areas on the site based on the different user role).
Make sense??
Thanks again,
Michelle

Hi Michelle,
We cant login to your site as you don’t have supplied all details. See my ticket. -
at #81981lazormishMember
Do you need to get into the site as an admin?
-
at #81982lazormishMember
Or is the ftp not allowing you to see the correct files??
-
at #81983adminKeymaster
Hi Michelle,
Yes I need admin of your site so I can test it. And I need your FTP login details.
Or you wait until we have released an update that’s also fine by me. -
at #81984lazormishMember
OK. I think there’s something wrong right now with theme-dutch since it’s not allowing me to see the top menu. Can you send me your email so that I can send you everything??
Thanks!
-
at #81986adminKeymaster
Hi Michelle,
Please clear your cache and will be there again.
-
at #81987lazormishMember
Still not there. I even reopened the page. Can you just email me?? My email is on file!
-
at #81988adminKeymaster
well we work remote and my staff needs to have the details in our ticketsystem.
But use a diffrent browser, or clean your cache again. Some browsers like firefox on my Imac needs to be cleared twice
-
at #81989lazormishMember
I’ve cleared my browser about 10 times. There’s something going on with your site. Everything on the top menu bar is non-existent.
You can sign up on my site, and then I can just give you admin status once you’ve registered. Would that work easier?? As for ftp, I had sent in all the info via the ticket submission normally accessible on the site. Again, right now, there’s no way for me to get to it. No link to click on.
Let me know how else I can get you the info you need.

I just sent contact info to through the “Talk to us” link. Hope that helps. I’ve tried different computers. Nothing is working.
-
at #81992adminKeymaster
Okay make me admin and I will have a look myself.
-
at #81993adminKeymaster
I have updated umswitcher 2.0.5 via FTP, and now I want to check the backed and have a quick look arround on your site ( just pure interest and a little bit of research on memberships.) I see that you have a ssl issue, that’s needs to be fixed but that’s a different story.
Okay, I need to you go to users and look up my account: Mike and set my user role to admin at the top and below at the Ultimate member section also to admin.
Mike
-
at #81994adminKeymaster
By the way we did not get anything from you on: https://theme-dutch.com/contact/
Witch browser are you using? as I’m sure the site is fine and must be a cache issue. My staff is al over the world and all can see the site menu.
-
at #81995lazormishMember
Done. Made you an admin. What’s with the ssl issue?
I just sent that message a few minutes ago through the contact us link. I clicked on account issues. Don’t know why you wouldn’t have received it!

Got this error when I ran a test:
Catchable fatal error: Object of class mysqli could not be converted to string in /home/sahbar5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/um-switcher/cron.php on line 20
-
at #81997adminKeymaster
Yeah I see the same, now I wish I left this to my developers 🙂 But anyway tomorrow first thing I will have them look at it.
Some advice
SSL, your required by law to have an ssl certificate installed. It’s also a nice marketing feature as clients see a trustworthy website.
you need:
https://sahbarteristas.comWoocommerce
Increase the WP memory limit: at least 64MBI also noticed that the backend is loading like a turtle, I know that Ultimate member for one is causing some delay. But there are some tweeks possible to increase this a bit. See the settings of Ultimate member.
Plugins you don’t use, remove them.
The same for themes. The front end is also not the fastest, I see your wp cache and maybe that can use some tweeks. But the most speed increase I think will be with hosting.
Will keep you posted tomorrow, so leave my admin account in tact for now. It can be be that we also need access to your database, but need to talk first with Roy.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve done pretty much everything except for SSL. I’m only using PayPal Standard, hoping to avoid having to get the SSL certification. I don’t believe it’s required by law to use SSL, especially if only using PayPal.
Thanks again for all your help! Let me know if you need anything else from my end.

Hi Michelle,
Here my 4 points…1) Okay, sure PayPal will handle the payment with an ssl connection. However if you are additionally taking and storing customer details you have additional obligations under the data protection act..
Your WC store stores all info of your clients right.
2) Besides that If I see a membership website were I don’t see a nice ssl icon in my browser window, I will think twice.
3) And what about Mr. Google, he thinks the world of you if you have an ssl, don’t have an ssl Mr. Google will not give you the best positions.
4) It depends on your hosting but there are a lot hosting providers that offer ssl certificates, we use a lot https://letsencrypt.org/ if you don’t want to spend for u green bar this will suit just fine. Because it’s free as in nada.
My advice ask your hosting provider if they offer letsencrypt.org, they can set it up also for you.
Okay back to umswitcher, all is fine. They file’s were not completely updated, we just made a purchase oh and I created an coupon code so you may want to remove that one.
The cronjob file shows data.
and the backend shows the subscription.Have fun and I hope you consider
a positive rating on Codecanyon,Thanks Mike

Just checked everything and yes, you are right, all is well!! Was I supposed to upload the updated um-switcher plugin?? Or did you already do that for me?
Thank you so so much!!

WAIT! Sorry – all is not well. I checked making a subscription for $0, and I got this error again on the checkout page:
SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0
Looks like everything is fine with the cronjob, but not sure why I’m getting this error on the checkout page, and it’s not resetting my role either.
Please help again! Thank you!

LOL Hi Michelle,
Sure no problem, I think I know what is going on but have to look at your setup. Can you set my account back to admin, I can’t login anymore.

Done. You should be good to go! Thanks so much!

at #82005adminKeymaster
By the way I think you get that error because the amount is $0,–, but let me test it for you.
-
at #82006lazormishMember
Still getting the same error:
SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0
):= I thought it was OK to do $0??? And you were able to get in the site OK, right? I’ve reset it again.

Michelle,
I just deactivated wp-cache as it will display old content and not the current page, but again my admin is changed….
-
at #82008lazormishMember
OK, BOTH of your accounts have admin access. I don’t understand why it keeps reverting back. Sorry about that! I’ll look at wp-cache settings.
Michelle
-
at #82009adminKeymaster
Well you can close both as were ready.
-
at #82010lazormishMember
I don’t understand what you mean – but your first account is back to Editor/Community Member and the new one is Admin. Do you need me to change the first one back to admin?
Michelle
-
at #82011adminKeymaster
No no were ready so you can remove both accounts.
-
at #82012lazormishMember
I’m wondering if you can see the problem better if you just make a separate dummy account which will just have an Author role and then go to the memberships page. That’s what I’ve been doing to access the subscription (and where I end up getting the Syntax error message after I submit my order). There’s no link in the menu, so you have to type it into your browser. The page name is /memberships/
Michelle
-
at #82013adminKeymaster
It makes no difference, you still get the checkout there is only 1 checkout page.
Clear your browser cache, just refreshing the page is sometimes not enough as you have seen before 🙂
-
at #82014lazormishMember
I’m still getting that error. So are you not getting this error? I’m really sorry – I’ll try to see if I can shut things down and reopen everything.
-
at #82015lazormishMember
No luck. Same SyntaxError message no matter what I do. Any ideas?
-
at #82016adminKeymaster
Yes I’m sure have you cleared your browser cache?
-
at #82017lazormishMember
I’ve tried using a different computer even. No luck. Same error. Did you try using a dummy account? I’m wondering if it works differently if you start off as admin and then go to a Community Member role??? I don’t know. The only thing I can think of.
-
at #82018lazormishMember
Looks like I’m getting this error when I go through the developer console:
Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://sahbarteristas.com/checkout/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image ‘http://sahbarteristas.com/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member/assets/img/default_avatar.jpg’. This content should also be served over HTTPS.
How can I/you fix this issue?? Is that causing the error??

at #82019adminKeymaster
Michelle,
Set my account Mike again to admin and I will have a last look.
Regarding your ssl question, I already told to you the importance of an ssl…. -
at #82020lazormishMember
The user name Mike-support still has admin privileges.
And I meant to say thank you for telling me about free SSL! My host doesn’t support the one you mentioned, but they have one of their own, so I already set it up. You should see it when you log into the site.
Thanks so much!

Michelle,
We have made again a test, and the error you see is not coming from um switcher. I can not tell you What exactly the issue is as That Will take more time. To find out.
And i must say That your website needs an proffesional with understanding of hosting, ssl setup, ultimate member, woocommerce. And caching and cdn. What i see are a bunch of plug-ins That you dont need, as Some features are allready avalable in for example ultimate member.
Manny plug-ins Will slow down your site en can cause issues as you can see. Besides That a membership website with all features What you have needs a premium hosting plan. We reather not build a membership site on a shared hosting plan, iT just dont Get the job don.
For your ssl, yeah you have an ssl installed but the images are still under http so now you Will see https errors….
My advice would be hire a proffesional…
-
at #82022adminKeymaster
Last thing
Deactivate um switcher
Clear your cache
And buy a membership, the error is still there.Bye Bye,
Have a great day. -
at #82023lazormishMember
OK. Thanks for your help. Hopefully I can fix these issues.
-
at #82024lazormishMember
Hello Mike!
You’ll be happy to know that I figured out what was wrong, and I am really, really sorry. This was NOTE the fault of the plugin at all. Unfortunately I’m new to working with WordPress, and I didn’t use the default role when I was first configuring everything. Thus the error message (woocommerce recognizes only the default role). Very simple, but obviously easy to overlook. So if you come across this error message again, be sure that the role used is the default role (in Ultimate Member, it’s Community Member).
Again, so sorry for the oversite and thank you for your patience.

Hi Michelle,
Thank you so much for your message, good to hear you found it. And to show my appreciation let me give you advice how to fix your ssl issue.
SSL is active but still see an orange warning sign
Okay your hosting provider has added an ssl certificate to your website but you still see an orange warning sign as you look before your domain name in your browser screen. When you open it and look closely it will tell you that some images still have http instead of https.
You have to be sure that all pages/post/ultimate member pages have 0 notices.Search in your WordPress plugin directory for a plugin search and replace, install and activate it. (remove it when your ready, the less plugins the better (:
Read the instructions carefully as you can not make any mistakes here. Use the search and replace feature:
Search for http://
And replace it with https://
If it’s okay you don’t see the orange notices anymore.
Have fun and thanks again,
MikeAttachments:

YAY! Got it working!! I think I’m all set. You have helped me TREMENDOUSLY! Again, I apologize for setting you on a wild goose chase with respect to figuring out my woocommerce problem. The only upside is that if this happens again, you’ll at least know quickly what is wrong!! Ha!
Thanks so much once again.
