I’m unsure exactly what you are looking to do but you may be able to achieve it using the footer widgets.
– Take a look at appearance -> facts options -> layouts to enable footers widgets
– Take a look at appearance -> widgets to create content for your widget areas.

I didd all of that but the question is: overtime I make changes to the footer or to the “Sociables” once made the new info and I save/update everything returns to the themedutch original default template info and all the mods are gone. Thx

If you want to create your own content for the footer and hooked it in the theme,

you can use this hook:
core_theme_hook_footer_content

and hook your functions there.

just make sure you unhook the old contents of the footer,

core_theme_footer_social_icons
core_theme_copyright
core_theme_footer_menu

I tried to overwrite the code (theme-hooks.php and footer.php) but it messed up the hole website so I had to go back to the original theme code.
I dont understand why (since I’ve bought the theme and I’m not using the free version) I can’t make any change in the footer in>Facts Options (why put it in the options if is not editable?)… and especially in the sociables (why I would direct my customers to you Social websites?) no changes?
please write me a more detailed answer in order to change this situation. thanks for helping.

still can’t change the footer (once I save it works then it goes back to the default themedutch info)

If I was a wordpress designer I would never buy a theme from you, so it means that if I BUY a theme I’m not an expert. so don’t give expert’s answer. the theme should work without a problem ( at least just write my info in the footer shouldn’t be that difficult)

Your exactly right you have paid for a theme, and thats will included support for common questions etc. However if you don’t take the time to read my questions, how will I give you support if you don’t give me an answerer. I now what kind of theme you have, BUT WHAT IS THE CURRENT VERSION Facts 1.0?

Well we don’t have that issue on our website, so it must be a issue of your installation, a plugin that gives a conflict maybe. Or an old bug…. If I had your version number I could look it up, but yeah what can I say.

This can be a tricky situation, if like you said: you have done nothing to the site, for example added a plugin or made an update. It can be a hacker, have seen this a few times before.

It’s not said that you need to re-install wordpress and lose your content, but that all depends whats the situation is on your website. This needs some research, my advice is get a premium support and we will investigate your installation today. Send by the ticket system from your dashboard (top right) all your login details, from the website and your hosting login details.
