Hello,
I just bought the theme mikmag V2.But I have problem to activate the slider homepage as this demo http://demo.theme-dutch.com/?theme=MIKMAG.
At the administration of wordpress I created the slider that I want displayed Appearance => MikMag => slider (print screen attached).
But I do not know how to show it on the home page as your demo. If you can explain simply. I have not found a answer to your manual or on the forum.
thank you

Hi Modio,
It mainly depends on whether you’re using a static homepage or a posts page for your homepage.
After you have created your slider in appearance -> mikmag -> slider you need to do the following:
Right now I will be assuming you have chosen a static homepage in settings -> reading:
– Go to the page editor of the page you have selected to be your homepage.
– Scroll down until you see the “Mikmag options”
– The first option here is “Slider” select the slider you have just created and save the page.
– It should now appear on your homepage.Do note: I see you are creating a Layer slider. We are currently working on an update to the Mikmag theme to support the latest version of wordpress. This update will feature the full layer slider plugin instead of the theme-incorporated version you have got right now. When updating your theme to the upcoming Mikmag3.0, unfortunately it is not possible to transfer your sliders built on the old system to this new full plugin.
I expect a fairly soon release of Mikmag3.0 as it is currently being tested by our beta-testers, you may wish to keep this in mind if you plan on updating.
Kind regards,

Hello,
Thank you for your response.
I tested the static page and the slider works perfectly.
Is there a way to display the page (with the slider) and just after the dynamic home. I’m interested if you have a piece of code to add a file in your theme to display the slider on the dynamic home page.
Thank you in advance for your reply

Hi Modio,
Right at this moment we don’t have a feature that allows adding a slider to a “latest posts” homepage. Mikmag does have several shortcodes that allow you to display recent posts dynamically on your static pages. Those may be useful to you.
Kind regards,

Hi Modio,
It has been pointed out to me that there is actually a way to add a slider to your homepage if you’ve selected the “latest posts” format in settings -> reading.
This page will take the Default page format that you can set in appearance -> mikmag -> layouts -> default page. If you select a slider here it will transfer to your latest posts homepage.
Kind regards,
