hello,
I’m using Joop theme on my website with woocommerce plugin.
The site translation from English to French is ok, but in the e-mail sent to our customers with the invoice and the customer note, the e-mail subject and title is always in english.
“Your {site_title} order from {order_date}” & “Thank you for your order”. for the invoice
“Note added to your {site_title} order from {order_date}” & “A note has been added to your order” for the note mail.the informations inside the e-mail body are ok (Shipping address, Billing adress, product, quantity, etc etc…).
I’ve been looking inside .po files, either in Joop Theme and Woocomerce and the translations appears to be ok, I’ve also checked with “string translation” and all translations are fine.
we get a message at the bottom woocommerce e-mails admin page saying “This template has been overridden by your theme and can be found in: yourtheme/woocommerce/emails/customer-completed-order.php.”
all translations elsewhere on the website are ok… we only have problems with the e-mails confirmations.
can you please tell us what we need to do to fix this ?
let me know if you need more informations,
thanks

Hi Magali,
Thank you for pointing this out to us. Would you by any chance have an example of an e-mail as was sent as an order notification that you could post here? That may help me identify exactly which parts of the e-mail are not being translated correctly.
If it are two different e-mail types, (invoice and order), please do post both if that’s possible.
Kind regards,

Thanks for your reply kevin.
attached are two snapshot of the order note and the order validation sent to the client.
i’ve hidden the contacts information for privacy…
the text shipping adress is not translated but I’ve been able to correct it.so mail object and header subject are the two parts of the e-mail that are not correctly translated.
i think it is generated by a different php files than the body of the e-mailthanks for your help, we really need to fix this,

Hi Magali,
This may be too straightforward of a question but I just wanted to make sure I’d ask this before checking this out with our developers.
Have you tried altering the circled options from my two screenshots (found in woocommerce->settings->emails) The text in those are exactly the same as the text that you are getting in the e-mail and the descriptions also seem to match.
Kind regards,
Kevin
