dailyspeedfeed.com For some reason my main page is not looking right, I set up categories and everything like the pdf manual shows and my page just looks like its stuck in a basic word press set up

You need to setup a home page and a menu.
Home page: Go to settings/reading and select a page for your home.
Menu: go to appearance / menu and create and select your menu
Thats it, good luck

Thanks for the reply Mike, when I go to settings then reading, what page am I supposed to select because there isn’t anything there but selecting the static page, then for pages all I see is “sample page” for front page. Is there anyone who set up the Mikmag theme able to help? I’m not looking to spend 180 bucks, I just spent 60.
Anytime I make a change I just see no effect on my page. Its like I have no sidebars, theyre showing as footers, too much all over the place.

the advertisement says create in just a few hours and update your site easily etc. I’m starting to think something isn’t right that is holding back how easy mikmag is supposed to be

Sean,
G’Day.
I’ve been using this theme for a short while and would be happy to help you out. What are you wanting to do with the theme ?
Do you have Skype and/or Team Viewer that we could use to communicate?
Cheers,
Michael. -

All I did was install the theme, I didn’t install any plugins yet. I am a little new to this, I appreciate all the help I can get. So I guess installing the plugins I want to use with this theme would be a good start? But only the plug ins the theme is set up for right? I definitively need the bbpress forum, buddypress looks good too, I guess the responsive plugin is for the slider? I recently has a nice person pm me but help from multiple people would be nice, I could definitely use the help but I do know everyones time is valuable..
