I installed and followed directions but there are gaps in the basic setup flow.
1. I want to show all my posts on the left hand side and a right sidebar. However, when I create a page with a right sidebar, the page is blank. Conversely, when I set to show my posts, it reverts to single column. How do I put all my posts in a page or add a sidebar to the posts view for the home page?
2. The slider will not work. When I click “add slide”, it hangs.

1. For the posts display with a right sidebar, you’ll want to set up a category in posts -> categories. Once done, add the posts you want to display on that page to that category by checking the checkboxes in the post editing pages.
Now that you’ve filled your category with posts, go to appearance -> Mikmag. In the category tab, select the category you have just created. Next select the right sidebar layout and add the sidebar you have created to display there. Save all of this and add the category to your menu in Appearance -> menus. Your category should now be ready and accessible.
2. I can’t exactly say what’s happening here since we haven’t got any likewise problems on our site. I know from experience though, that the add slide button not working (on any theme, really) is often caused by a jQuery conflict with a plugin. This could just be the case with your problem too.
What you want to do to find if that is indeed the cause of your problem is de-activate all the plugins you’ve got running and try to add a slide again. If this now does work, re-activate the plugins one by one to find out which one is the conflicting plugin.
