Hi,
Since I’ve bought the theme, I’ve been working almost non-stop on it. I love it!
I have two requests:
1. Would it be possible to add some basic widgets for TD-folio, such as categories, tags, latest folio posts?
2. Would it be possible to have both facebook comments as well as regular wordpress comments?Also I have some questions:
1. Regarding the TD-folio and posts, which image sizes are best to use?
2. Is it possible to have a movie as a slider?
3. I noticed on my categories page that if you have movies and image posts, a sidebar is overlapping the movie posts. How can I solve this? See attached printscreen.Thanks! Chantal

Hi Chantal,
1. It is currently not possible to add widgets to the tabs, you do have the ability though, to use shortcodes in there. The theme is featured with all kinds of shortcodes including latest-post shortcodes.
2. I figure you are using a plugin to get these facebook comments? I’m afraid I can’t quite help you much further with that, as it is not a theme option. I think the possibility to have this really depends on what the plugin can do.

1. I am guessing you mean for the featured images?
As it’s possible to pop up a lightbox-style enlargement of the image there is no one-size fits all. However, the aspect ratio of the images displayed on your TD-folio and blog categories is close to 5:4 so I’d suggest sticking around these marks to have the resized image fit best
2. It is possible to add videos to the layer slider’s layers. You should be able to get that fill your slides 100% if that’s what you’re looking for but the only way to incorporate videos is by using video layers.
3. This sounds like a bug, could you perhaps send me a URL to that particular page you took the screenshot of, so we can check that out a bit better?

Regarding my requests:
1. I’m am not referring to widgets in the tabs. If possible, I would like to see TD folio widgets for use in sidebars. For example if I use the ThemeDutch Categories Widget, it’s only displaying categories from posts, not portfolio items. There’s no widget for TD folio categories.
2. I’m not using a plugin. I hope to see that it would be a build-in feature.And for the questions:

2. Thanks. I will have a look at that.
3. I already made some alterations regarding video sizes. I had the width set on 900px, now I have it on 820px.
If you would like, I still can send you my url. If possible only by private message.If you don’t mind, I have another question… I would like to have my logo more incorporated in the header, not floating on top of it. Any suggestions to do this the right way? What I’ve done now, it not ideal.

Hi Chantal,
1. Ah ok, that makes sense. We also have a few tab shortcodes (open up the shortcode manager on any page or post and try out some of those tabs). When you find a tabbed shortcode you like, you can copy the shortcode into a text widget in your footer or sidebars. That should work for giving you tabbed areas within a widget area.
2, I understand, I’ll make sure to post this as a suggestion for our developers so they can take a look at possibly implementing such a functionality in the future.

4. I’m afraid to achieve that would require some theme code or CSS customization. There’s no way of removing the background from the logo (I’m taking that’s mainly what you are trying to do so it won’t float above the header anymore).
