Here is what’s happening:

The similar posts images are responsive to the size of the area they are in. The main reason behind this is to make sure that they fit properly. If you resize your browser (to emulate looking at it on a smaller screen, for example) they will resize to fit the space they have, making sure that they all fit fully (no half images or anything of the sort.

Now basically what happens when adding a sidebar is that the full width of the page gets distributed between the content and that sidebar. The fact that the sidebar takes more space means that the main content have less space, the similar images have less space and for that reason adjust to fit properly.

Now in this case with only one or two similar images you don’t quite notice that as they do not cover the full width of the page but when you take a look at : http://theme-dutch.compresents/aziza/what-else-need-to-be-said/ you will see that when resizing your browser the images will match that change in size and fit properly up until you really go to a very small browser size.

I hope that clarifies what’s happening.

Hi Chantal,

I was under the impression one of the pages had a sidebar and the other one didn’t. I must have misunderstood.

I’ve gone ahead and tested this and it appears to indeed be something caused by the theme where the “single related item” would show up smaller than “multiple related items”.

I’ve sent this on to our development team so they can take a look at this for the next Aziza update.
