Hello everybody,
I got an interesting bug here. The following setup is in use:
Wordpress 4.1 (also tested with 4.0.1)
Mikmag 3.1After a fresh install (only LayerSlider and TD activated like it is recommended by the theme) everything is fine.
Then I inserted several posts and was not able to save the theme options anymore. Instead of “Changes saved” or something, only a zero is displayed.
Removing the posts doesn’t change anything, other themes with LayerSlider and TD are working.Regards,
Martin -

Hello Martin,
Thank you very much for updating your profile by including your envato purchase code. Saving posts should not be an issue, but I’ll ask our support staff to look at this.
Best regards,
Helen -

Hi Mike,
thanks for the update, but it didn’t change anything. It still shows ‘0’, after I try to ‘Save changes’.
I also updated all the Plugins you listed… Please take a look again, maybe I’ve overseen something?Best Regards,
Daniela and Martin -

Hi Daniela and Martin,
Try this:
Delete mikmag and layer slider.
Upload mikmag version 3.2
appearance / install plugins / Layer sliderCheck it if it works, if not. You’re installation needs to be checked, but as it’s a time consuming process we can’t offer this under free support.
But I think when you have installed the latest versions it should work, I have checked our demo site and all is working. -

Hi Mike,
so we installed WordPress again, installed MikMag 3.2 with LayerSlider and TD Shortcode, tested Theme, everything went fine.
As soon as we load the database, same issue again. ‘0’ instead of ‘successfully saved changes’. There is no problem after this step with other themes. The database has just above 500 posts and 130 categories, maybe it has to do with the amount of data?
Best Regards,

Hi Daniela and Martin,
I don’t think the amount of data is causing a issue with our theme, even if other themes are working. I have seen Mikmag with thousand post, videos etc.
But what the problem is I can’t say, needs to be investigated starting with the database. -

Ok.. do you know, if there were any database-changes in wordpress from version 3.9.3 to 4.0.1?

Hm ok we have no idea… we just know that it has to be a bug in MikMag, cause in other themes, like I said, the admin-panel is ok after inserting the posts.
I could of course set up all the posts etc again, which would cost me at least two days work with all the links I put into it. Makeable. But as soon as there is anything, that causes an inserting of the database, there will be again a reset of the theme-settings.
What should we do?

No thats not right my friend, even if it works with other themes will not say It’s a Mikmag bug 🙂
And like I said, I have seen Mikmag websites with thousand of post with no problems. And all works fine until you import the database, so my money would be checking the database on issues but that can be a painful and time consuming process.
If you like our guys can have a look at your installation, you can ask for a price quote via our contact form: https://theme-dutch.com/contact/ -

Hello Mike,
to avoid problems with an imported database, we created the posts manually.
Currently we got only 30 posts and 12 pages and the bug occurs. In our test scenario we tested with a blank installation, then changed CSS. No problems until we added some posts.
The settings remain as we set them before the writing of posts.
Any options?

Hi Martin,
We have made a fresh install, installed Mikmag 3.2, layerslider, woocommerce and td-shortcodes.
And I added 39 post, 19 pages and I can save all theme options. So whats going on there I can’t say.
