Hi Jeff,
Mikmag2.2 is currently compatible with wordpress version 3.6.1, The latest 3.8 version is not yet supported. Your problem most probably comes from this incompatibility.
Kind regards,
Kevin

Thank you for the response Kevin! Any idea when MikMag will be 3.8 compliant? It’s important to stay current for security and many other reasons.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,
I can’t quite give a good estimate on that, I’m afraid.
The reason is that we’ve got quite a lot of different themes that we try to keep up to date as much as we can. However, updating a theme can be a big task and it always takes quite some time to complete, as you never know what issues might arise.
We’ve only got a small team that needs to carry out updates over all of our active themes and that also works on creating new themes, so because of that it can always take a while to get all our themes updated.
Kind regards,
Kevin

We may have to dump the MikMag Theme cause it has been very problematic since we purchased it and developed a website about a year ago. And not keeping a complex theme up to date and asking $60 (one of the most expenses themes on TF) is not a good sign. After the most recent theme update………the theme loads VERY slowly, and the drop down navs don’t navigate the intended pages. (Not a problem on our part) they work on a desktop), if you click on the button to trigger the drop down and try to click on a drop down item, the theme takes you to the top nab page. IT DOES THE SAME THING ON THE MIKMAG THEME DEMO!!!!!! KIND OF A BIG ISSUE DON’T YOU THINK??????

Hi Jeff,
I haven’t really had issues with the speed of our theme yet. When I view our demo page at http://www.theme-dutch.com/presents/mikmag/ It loads pretty rapidly, especially considering the amount of data and images shown on that front page…
As for the menu however, I’d like to hear a little bit more about it, if possible. From what I read it sounds like on mobile devices when you try to click a menu item from the mobile menu it will send you to a different page. Is that indeed what’s happening?
If that’s indeed the case that’s obviously an important thing, however I’ve tried it on our demo site using my phone but I didn’t appear to have anything strange happen to me there..
Kind regards,
Kevin
