Hi, I am having trouble installing the theme. Using the WP upload feature I get an error message that reads ” Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.”, nothing else. I’m not sure what I am missing to get this installed properly.

Hi Jason,
That is quite odd indeed.
Could you make sure you are uploading the right zip file?
In the download from themeforest (themeforest-……-mikmag-responsive….zip) you will find a folder Mikmag 3.1 – unzip me please which should then contain “mikmag.zip”.Is this “mikmag.zip” the one you are uploading using the woocommerce upload function?
Kind regards,

Thank you for the reply Kevin. That is the file I have tried uploading. I have also tried deleting it and downloading it again with the same results. I attached a screenshot of the file I tried just in case I am missing something.

Hi Jason,
That is indeed the correct file. Could you perhaps share with me what version of wordpress you’re running? I’d like to give it a shot myself, see if I get the same message.
Also, is this a fresh wordpress installation or does it have any plugins installed
Kind regards,

Kevin,
I currently am running WP v4.0. This is an upgrade so I do have some plugins active. I will try and deactivate those to see if it might be one of them.

Kevin,
So I have tried reinstalling wordpress and deactivating all of my plugins and even tried a different computer, and I am still getting the same result, the “Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again” notice. Any ideas on your side?
Thanks again

Hi Jason,
I’ve gone ahead and tested it on a clean WP4.0 install myself and I did get the same result.
Mikmag is however not WP4.0 ready yet. It is currently running on wp3.9.1 and has not been tested/updated to be fully compatible with WP4.0I then went ahead and tried the same thing on a WP3.9.1 installation. Strangely, I received the same error there. It looks like there’s an issue with the .zip install that our development team needs to dive into. I will be notifying them about this right away.
Now what you could do instead is an FTP install. This is fairly simple.
– First you will need to extract the zip file so you end up with a folder called mikmag, which contains all the theme files. (so directly inside the folder “mikmag” you should find things like “images” “js” “404.php “author.php” etc.
– Once you’ve done that, connect to your FTP using any service provided by your webhost or some software such as FileZilla.
– Once in there, go to wherever you’ve installed your wordpress and go to wp-content / themes /
– Copy the mikmag folder you unzipped to wp-content/themes on your ftp.
The theme should now be installed and can now be activated through the wp-admin panel.
As I said, please note the fact that Mikmag has not yet been properly checked and updated to be compatible with WP4.0. You could try using it on that wordpress version but for now I would advise using WP3.9.1 to avoid running into unknown issues.
I hope this helps
Kind Regards,
Kevin
