Helen, Mike, Kevin and the Theme-Dutch team.
G’Day and congrats on the new design for your showpiece website. It is certainly different and unique from the other theme company websites.
And I appreciate that you are still coming to grips with the Userpro pluguin for member access, so here is a little quirk that I encountered this morning.
I am unable to access My Profile.
When I click on My Account > My Profile I get the front screen of my profile, however when I click on the View Profile tab it reverts to the Edit Profile tab and when I click on that it defaults back to the View Profile tab.
So it looks like it is in a loop and unable to access the complete profile (where I am hoping to change my image pic).I’m sure that it is a bug, so good luck squashing it !
Cheers,
Michael.

I think it is because the button links are the same – http://theme-dutch.comprofile/# is what happens whenever I click on it.

Hi Michael,
It appears to be working right on my account but I do have some differing rights from the other user accounts.
We’re going to test this for a bit and see what we can find.Cheers,

Mike I agree entirely with you about Buddypress so I am excited to see more about this new plugin. I’m not sure what all features they have available for the community plugin, but I will be investigating. It would be handy to have easy access to a link to all of our posts. Especially if we are helping out in the user forums, it would be wonderful to be able to see all of the posts we’ve done or commented on. That may already be possible, I haven’t had a lot of time to really investigate the new site yet. So far I LOVE the design and layout and it seems much more responsive overall. I believe this was a good move for the Theme-Dutch team.

What do you think of the bookmarks? -
at #62178adminKeymaster
Update
– Profile image not uploading. ( fixd incorrect permissions in lib/cache folder )
– Login re-directs ( works fine)Ticket system in progress
Lenur is adding some features to the wp-awesome ticket system as we speak.– Adding badges to user tickets
– adding template into our theme files ( by the way, this site you are looking at is a new theme STRADA ) When the beta version is ready you will find the download in your account under my orders. -

Bookmarks
You will see on every support forum page the Bookmark widget, I think this works really well to look up a post, from the topbar menu you will find all your bookmarks saved.

As the edit profile function (which this topic was originally about) has been fixed I will mark the bug topic as resolved.
Do feel free to continue the discussion here though. any information or suggestion is useful to us.

Mike and Kevin,
G’Day and thanks for your prompt responses to my little bug issue.
All seems to be working fine now – everyone can now see my ugly mug ! LOL !
Thanks.I’ve used BuddyPress on your other themes and am very interested to see how this new Plugin works and it’s capabilities and durability with a large member base.
I’ve developed a couple of members-only websites, one alarge international one, and have used S2Member and BuddyPress and bbPress, so I am keen to see how your site operates. If all goes well, are you considering including this Plugin in an upcoming theme?
And in closing, thanks for being so responsive to your members/clients needs.
Keep up the great work.Cheers,
Michael.

Hi Michael,
Well we made a test with 30.000 users, and after some tweaking all works fine. I’m not totally happy with the loading speed of the members page though and we will look into that soon. This page is loading a bit longer: http://theme-dutch.commembers/
But overall until now I’m very happy with the system, the developer is more then willing to built a better and better system. He is working at the moment on a message system like ala buddypress as addon. And feature request are taking into consideration. The plugin is in early development but has a real potential I think.
I’m not sure if we included the plugin into our theme, I think it’s better that a client buys the plugin from the developer. That way in case of updates it works much faster. The only thing ( at this moment) we made custom into our theme files for userpro/bbpress, are the badges. All the badges created inside Userpro, will also show up in the bbpress forums. For us that was a must have, so we can give better support to real clients 🙂 The second one is Woocommerce, we added some code so a client will have also a badge, but not sure if that will be included in Strada. But if you need it we can always give you the file/code.
Userpro works out of the box, there is no need to built templates inside our theme files so thats a big +. Here you can download a test version: http://codecanyon.net/item/userpro-user-profiles-with-social-login/5958681?ref=themedutch
Thank you Michael, for your great job on the forums.

Mike,
G’Day again and thanks for your details response.
Yes, I’ve downloaded a trial copy of UserPro and have started to test it out. It does look as though it has the potential to be a very useful Plugin. One thing I don’t like, is that it doesn’t appear to remember ones UserName/Login Id when you return to a site.
All being well, I’m aiming to test it against the latest versions of MikMag and Aziza, and if anything untoward is found I’ll post here and on the UserPro forums.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Guys,
I’m very sorry for the inconvenience. I hoped things would go smooth, and even though we have tested the system over and over again, there are still a few things that need some improvements. Even if all plugins are built for wordpress, and according the guidelines of wordpress, there always arise conflicts, and we faced a few by building a site in which 26 plugins are running.Let me explain a bit what we are doing though. As you can see, we’re making effort to create a community, and we’re in constant communication with the developer of the new UserPro plugin. In our opinion, Buddypress is too much of everything, so we decided to use UserPro instead. And yes, it’s a new plugin that will come with some headaches, and we need to fix the last bugs, together with the developer of UserPro. But, we will also add new features, and first we need to decide, which features we’re going to add. Now comes my question to you guys. What kind of features do you like to see on our website, and what can we do to make it better. Your suggestions are more than welcome.
New Features to be released soon:
– Ticketsystem for premium support members
– New badges based on achievements: Most post, Code Ninja etcBugs
– Profile image not uploading.
– Login re-directsThanks guys,
Mike
