      Hi,

      bought Dondo some months ago. Visual Composer should be included, right? It did always work, but stopped about two weeks ago. Are we doing something wrong? When trying to activate it, it says there’s no license!?

      Hi,

      Yes, Visual Composer is included with the theme.

      (the notification about the license is something which you may ignore, this is something we cannot prevent showing up though. its a notification from the composer’s developer). Ignore this message and activate VC.

      What “exactly” did you do 2 weeks ago. The Visual Composer does not stop by itself.
      Please give us more info so we can help.

      Hi Helen,

      you say we should activate VC. Well, when clicking on this link, it always says there’s no license.

      We edited some of the pages using VC. When trying to open VC again (like the next day or so), only the logo showed up (like the page loader) and nothing else happened. That’s the way it has been ever since. Also there’s the message to activate VC since then.

      Any idea how to solve this?

      Hi Mike,

      unfortunately not. All that happens is the page itself being transparent and the VC logo loading. Nothing else happens …

      Ggggrrrrrrr, okay I will release an update very soon. Ivan our developer is working on Dondo as we speak and we will update also the VC, as they have released dis morning also an update. This is a left over from the recent wp jquery update. But anyway maybe today/tomorrow we will have a update ready for download.

      So for now , I can only say Take a coffee break 🙂

      Thank you very much. As speaking of the update: is there an easy and fast way to update the theme (and backup everything before)? Do you have any recommendations for this process?

      … just saw that it says VC requires an update. When clicking on update it says VC first needs to be activated. When trying this, it says there’s no license. Will this all be fixed by the update you were just speaking of?

      Ok, tried several times. Deactivated VC, then the update was possible. Version 4.11.2.1 is activated now, but still the same problem as described in the beginning. So for now: coffee break. 😉 Thanks!

      Check your hosting, it’s always a good idea to run daily or weekly a backup from your complete files.
      There are also plugins were you can make backups right from your back end, but were working with an autobackup system via our server so I cant tell you witch plugin is the best. Just look at the free wp repo wordpress.org and you will find a few.

      Before updating a theme !!!!

      Go to the option panel and Utility and make a export of your settings, in case after update the settings like fonts and colors etc are lost you can always have it back in a few seconds.

      The best way to update the theme is by FTP.

      1 – rename the current dondo to old_dondo
      2 – upload the new dondo
      3 – go to option panel and Utility, and import the settings.
      4 – go to your plugins, it will display below VC there is an update available. The VC plugin is bundled inside our theme file, so it will update it from there. No need to enter an activation code, just forget that message. Just hit update.
      5 – when all good, you can remove the old_dondo

      Tell me about it, last week Thursday I was in the middle of uploading the update to Themeforest as my guys said. Mike wait…. Why? well woocommerce just released an major update 2.6

      were almost there on some final debugging and testing left.
