Hi,
I am using Woocommerce for my shop in MIKMAG.When choosing a variant of a product on my site the price does not appear under the chosen variant. I have asked an expert and they say there is a Java Script error….
It works fine when there are no variants which definately points toward a JS error. Also it is not possible to click on any products to choose them.
Pls see below…
Hi @Studio3creative,
You do actually have a JS error on the page.Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘split’ of undefined ynfa.net/wp-content/themes/mikmag/js/theme-plugins.js?ver=1.0:46
This looks to be related to the FA menu icons.
You might need to ask your theme developer about that. maybe there’s an update for that js script?
Hope this helpsThey say the problem could be related to FA Menu Icons which is built into the MIKMAG theme.
Could someone please look at this for me and let me know what is causing Woocommerce not to work as This theme is meant to work with Woocommerce.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi IanG,
Could you perhaps share a link towards a page on your website where I’ll be able to see this happening?
Also, what versions of Mikmag as well as woocommerce are you currently running?I’d like to take a look at what’s going on there.
Kind regards,
Kevin -

Hi Kevin, Thanks for coming back ti me. Thelink is http://ynfa.net/product/ynfa-mens-womens-caps/ but the problem appears on any product page with variants plus also i cant click on any products to choose them. if you require any details to check the back end i can supply them. I think it may be a js clash.
I am running the most up to date version of both as far as i am aware.
Thanks again

Hi Kevin,
I have been doing some testing and it appears woocommerce works when i switch to 2014 theme but not when running MIKMAG. It looks like a theme conflict which is surprising considering you seel the theme on the fact it works with Woocommerce?? I need to get this sorted as a matter of urgency for tuesday if possible. could you pls look at this for me asap.
It appears to be working in Firefox though but not Chrome or safari (MAC)

Hi IanG,
I’ve been looking into the variations issue and I see that when I choose different values for the caps attribute on your website, nothing changes. I also see that the price shown at the top is shown as “12.99”
Now I went to test this a bit on my testing website with Mikmag3.0 (latest). I added different variations by creating a variable product, adding different attributes and then creating a variation for each attribute that would have a different price (see screenshot of back-end).
My product page would then start showing a price range, instead of just one price (E.G. £2.00–£6.00) and I would be able to select different variations and the price above the add to cart button would change accordingly.
I then went to make a temporary test for this on our demo site (which I removed soon after, since it is a live site). I did this so I was sure to have a fully populated site, including menu icons and everything for the test and it did work just the same. (see other screenshot).
I have done my testings in the chrome browser.
Have you made sure that you’ve created actual variations with different prices back-end, not just the attributes?
Kind regards,

Hi IanG,
I’ve taken a look at the issue concerning the blurred related images and I see that for these images the small thumbnail images (up to 150×150) are being used and then enlarged to fit the larger frame, thus causing the blurry effect.
The image source shows http://ynfa.net/wp-content/uploads/products-23-150×77. Note the -150×77, which is the size of the actual image that is being enlarged.
I think you’ll want to take a look at your woocommerce settings for image sizes, wocommerce -> settings -> products -> scroll down to the product image sizes. Just off the top of my head I am not entirely sure which one you’ll want to augment. However, do make sure that you regenerate the thumbnails after you’ve altered these values, for the changes to actually take effect. Use the plugin “Regenerate thumbnails” for that
I’ve added a screenshot of our demo site’s settings.
Kind regards,
Kevin -

HI Kevin,
Could you please take a look at my sites settings / variations issue in my actual site? I am happy to give you my details if you have a secure way to receive them? You will notice that on the shop page products can not be clicked on at all? The shop only seems to work in Firefox (mac) for me. Not in Chrome or Safari. Pls help as I have no idea what to do.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Kevin,
The image issue is sorted out thanks to your advice. But i still dont get the option to add to cart or get morte details when i roll over products? basically its impossible to choose a product from the shop?? Also i still have not managed to sort out the Variant issue so a variant can be chosen and then the price – amount of products wanted option appears before adding to cart. No adding to cart appears so nothing can be purchased.
If you could take a look in my site i would be very grateful. I do think this is a Js clash somewhere.
Pls get back to me as soon as you have a chance so i can hopefully give yoi my details.

Hi Kevin…
This is is of upmost importance now, if you could help it would be great…
here is more info i have gathered from another source…
The issue looks to be a js issue with the theme:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘split’ of undefined ynfa.net/wp-content/themes/mikmag/js/theme-plugins.js?ver=1.0:46
you might need to ask the theme developer regarding this. JS issues can prevent further JS loading on the page, which in this case the error here could be preventing the js from woocommerce from loading correctly.Could you look at this for me asap as we need to go live across all browsers.
Sorry to be a pain but this is the last stumling block. You are welcome to access the sites details if you give me your email etc.
Pls pls help if you can
Many thanks

Hi IanG,
I’d like to take a look at your website back-end but what I can do may be limited. Since it does all appear to work on our demo website, I’m not yet sure if it would really be a theme bug. I do hope I can find what’s causing this though.
Please send your e-mail to kevin(a)theme-dutch.com. Also, could you add where the JS error you posted was found? My chrome console doesn’t give any errors when I check your shop pages.
Kind regards,

Hi IanG,
I notice a difference when I’m logged in versus when I am not logged in. When I do log in, the overlay buttons do not appear on products as you mentioned here. When I am not logged in, they do appear.
Also, when I am not logged in, I do not get a console error (the javascript error you mention) however, when I do log in I do get this error. I’m thinking the javascript error is a conflict with a plugin, other than woocommerce, that is happening only when one logs in.
I see you have quite the list of plugins installed and activated. Do you know of any that you are using to specifically be working (or doing something quite different) when the user is logged in versus when a guest is visiting the website? I feel there should be a plugin that behaves differently based on this that is conflicting with the theme.
Kind regards,

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for your response. At least we have moved forward a touch here. I have asked WPMU to look at thisand they have responded with this…
Hi there @Studio3creative,
Hope you’re well today and thanks for your question! 🙂
The issue is your theme, the error is
TypeError: item.attr(…) is undefined
var iconclass = item.attr(‘class’).split(‘ ‘)[0];
Which comes from wp-content/themes/your-theme/theme-plugins.js?ver=1.0But the only difference between a logged in and logged out user I can see is that you have chat showing for logged in users, could you try disabling that and see if it makes any difference?
Thank you!
does this help to narow the problem down??
If you could get back to me asap it would be great. I have tried turning off the chat software but that has not solved the problem.
Thanks for your support… it is much appreciated.

Hi IanG,
Right at this moment, I’m lead to believe it is most probably a plugin conflict of some sort. To be sure of this, what would need to be done is deactivate all of the plugins installed (except for woocommerce, obviously) and check whether it still does not work. If it does then work, re-activate them one by one to see which one is causing the conflict.
I am a bit limited in what I can offer as free support service. We generally don’t go back-end as part of our free support but I did that in this case hoping to help you out with a quick solution for the problem.
The best (and fastest) service I think we could offer at this point is that if you upgrade to a premium support package (http://theme-dutch.compremium-support/) We can put one of our developers on the job of checking your website so they can find out exactly what’s going on. Though I don’t think they will be able to do that this very day. I do expect them to be able to attend to it tomorrow.
Kind regards,

Hi Kevin,
i have upgraded the account. Would you be able to set up the job at your end as you know about the problem already?
Then send over a confirmation on when it will be done?

Hi IanG,
I’m sending the details about the issue to our developers, as well as your login information you have sent me earlier today so that they have everything they need to work on it. They are already aware of your premium purchase and of the type of issue there is.
Kind regards,

Hi Ian,
Please check http://ynfa.net/product/ynfa-mens-womens-caps/ all working now in chrome and ff.Regarding the blurry product images,
– Use the same size for your product images.
– set that size into: woocommerce/settings/products – Product Image Sizes
– run the regenerate thumbsLittle advice, try to limit your plugins as you have 58 installed and running.
Best Mike

Hi Mike,
Site is not running correctly yet?? No sidebars? The child CSS is not running either?
-
at #64695adminKeymaster
Hi Ian,
I had to de-activate all plugins and Mikmag, so you need to set your sidebars again.
We have not set the child theme, just activate it. -

Hi Mike, Some pages content has disappeared… News Hub, Media Hub, EPL Hub pages?
-
at #64697adminKeymaster
Hi Lang,
It was not me ): we did not removed any of your pages, we made only a fix to Mikmag and update the TD shortcodes.
