I am looking at the James 2.0 template as a possible solution for a photographer who wants to sell photos. I have the following questions about things that I do not see in the demo.
We want to upload a lot (1000’s) of photos and place them into sets (perhaps I should use galleies for this or portfolios) but we also want to sell each photo. I dont want to have double the work - placing the photos in the gallery/portfolio and the shop. So what I therefore thought would be the handiest is to only use the shop part and use shop categories as the different galleries/portfolios. People can then view the portfolio within the shop.
Therefore the following questions:
Can I split my shop into different categories that contain different photo sets or even better is there a way of converting photos in the galleries directly into products and product categories in the shop?
Would there be any way to password protect one of the sets so that only certain customers can buy them.
Does the theme support the addition of shop attributes such as size?
Are the payment methods ideal/paypal supported?
Is there support to upload the photos from Adobe Lightroom?Man thanks for the guidance.

Just to make sure I went and checked the woocommerce category fucntionality on James and it should work just fine.
Thee variations are something I have just tested as well and at this point I have to inform you they do not function properly. Now that I am aware of this, however I have immediately sent it through to our development team for them to take care of with the update they are currently working on.
Paypal is surely supported. For iDeal, it is not a standard woocommerce payment method but they have a plugin for it that should work properly with our themes (we are using it on some of our themes already).
As for the image uploading, we don’t have any additional features other than wordpress’ standard upload methods and those of any plugins you may install.
So, the product variations are planned to be added in our upcoming update. Otherwise everything should work properly for you.
I can also share with you our latest woocommerce theme for you to look at if you’re interested. this one currently has working variations already.

I hope this helps you in your decision making
Kind regards and good luck with the website,
Kevin
