I touched on both the following issues in 2 earlier posts but thought I should raise them again as they both relate to banner ads:
1) The ability to ad a banner ad to the HEADER area (to the right of the logo and above the menu) has disappeared from the MikMag Ads available options. This is a problem for me. Whilst I could possibly hack header.php to add a banner - it would then be global (site-wide) and it would lose us the ability to display a completely different banner ad on each page / site section. I really need to be able to display different ads in this area according to the page being displayed.
Is this functionality being added back into the theme please as it was one of the strongest monetisation features of the theme!
2) The MikMag 125x125px banner ad widget no longer displays ads at the correct size - they are now displaying at just 90x90px. I suspect a CSS change in the Beta version is responsible. The sizing reduction is a problem if you are selling 125×125 ads and the advertiser complains that their ads are now much smaller than before. They have also lost their hover function which changed the white border to grey on hover - a nice feature I thought so it’s a shame to lose it - especially as the new developer has added these hover effects to all linked images everywhere else so I cannot understand why he has removed them for these ads?
Can Theme Dutch please take a look at this issue (and the one above) and suggest a resolution please?
Thanks and regards

10/05/2013 at 8:05 PM #11570I’ve added your initial list as well as this one for extra detail to the list that our developers will check
20/05/2013 at 12:37 PM #11714Please can you confirm that header area banner ads WILL be added back into the theme. Having checked the Mikmag 2.00 header.php it is completely different to the same file in 1.3.2 - using hooks rather than including the banner code within the file so making it more difficult to figure out how to hack the code to ad these in myself.
I am wondering if that means this functionality has been removed permanently or if it was just an oversight. Your early response re this question would be appreciated so I know whether we’ll need to start hacking code or not to be able to have these banners back on my site once I upgrade to Mikmag 2.00.

21/05/2013 at 3:56 PM #11723Hi Gail:
You can find your answer here: /tdframework/core/widgets.css
Line 25: margin: 5px; padding: 0; width: 90px;
Change to: margin: 5px; padding: 0; width: 125px;
It is a single column but you can introduce 250px etc. images. You can play around with padding etc.
Have a great day.
