I asked this on the ThemeForest site and was directed to these forums so I’m re-asking the question here;
I am loving the 2.0 version of this theme! I do have a quick question however. How would I go about reducing the number of boxes per row in the boxes layout? I’d like to take it down to 8 images per row instead of the default 11 per row.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated!
03/05/2013 at 2:48 PM #11468Hi Randall,
I’m afraid the James theme currently does not feature an option to change the amount of box images displayed horizontally. I’d figure at this point the only way to change it would be to manually customize the theme’s code handling the boxes.

06/05/2013 at 2:04 PM #11471Randall, I had the same issue. Look at style.css and you will find:
ib-main{
position: relative;
width: 2020px;
}
.ib-main a{
float: left;
width: 200px;
height: 200px;
you can play with the bold parameters. The first one is of course the width of box layout, and in my case 2020 px is the best option from all my attempts (10 boxes per row). I have chosen 200×200 px for the size of a single box. Default 250 px was too big for me. You have to remember that one box has 2px border on its left and lower side.
Hope to help you a bit
Good luck!

04/10/2013 at 3:13 AM #12849Hello!!
Im using james with the boxes style and I set the background black,
but I still see the background white, and when I upload images I can see the white lines between them!
this is the link to the web http://kinipelastore.com/
how can I fix it!
Thanks in advance!!
04/10/2013 at 6:53 AM #12853Hi Pau,
It appears you’ve sorted out the color issue. You do seem to be using the bricks layout though, not the boxes one. That might be that space between them.
For a preview of what boxes should look like, you can check our demo homepage: http://www.theme-dutch.com/presents/james
As you can see, there’s a 2px white line between all images, that is on purpose, to properly separate the images from one another. Changing that line’s color or size would require customizations to the theme’s css files.
