    Hi,

I want to upgrade from 1.0 to 1.1 - what is the best way to do this without losing sliders, settings etc.?

I’m using the child theme as well.

    Thanks,

    Louie

Is there a changelog as well?

OK - just overwritten both Aziza folder and Aziza Child folders with the new files.

I was using the custom css area in Theme Options for my customisations, but moved it all into the styles.css of the child theme, however, they are not having any effect when I add them this way.

Are the child theme styles supposed to work this way?

    Thanks,

    Louise

    Hi Louise,

Updating a theme is done by just simple removing the currently installed (main)theme (or by renaming it for a while, to keep it around as a backup). And then uploading the newly downloaded update of the main theme.

The child theme is the one you will have activated in your wp->appearance->themes and as its the theme that contains the changes it should not be overwritten with an update.

    I hope that makes sense,

    Kind regards,

    Kevin
