I have been problems with featured images being broken after I moved domains. The images are in the correct locations, but when they need to be scaled, they seem to be breaking the link. For example if you look at: -

you'll see a load of broken links, but click the broken link and it will happily display the full size image. I've also tried uploading photos into pages featured images and they appear as broken links too. I can however load the images into a post with no problem so I'm guessing the issue is one of scaling rather than anything else.

Any suggestions? I am baffled!

Strangely enough, the featured images come through in the blog and scrolling arrangement, but not in bricks or in posts. I have tried adding thumbnails into the functions.php with no luck too.
Posted 6 months ago # -

Hi Simon Griffiths,

I would suggest you to try re-uploading the images. You will probably want to start with just one of the images, to see if it works but try to just delete one of the images and the upload it again.

That was the first thing I tried, but no luck. I've had trouble with server RAM on the hosting I've been using, but I don't think that is is either. Don't forget that the featured images work in some places, but not in others. They don't even work on posts for example, but they do work if I change from bricks to the gallery.

Is there any possibility that a few files have been corrupted? I bought them from themeforest, but is there somewhere else I could download just the particular files that control bricks and I guess posts?

Cheers

Looks like I fixed it. It was actually a problem relating to the fact we were using a temporary IP address rather than the main domain name.
Posted 6 months ago #
