Hello,
I want to create a page with “portfolio” in WordPress. But I do not get it back. Since my English is not so good, I do not understand the “joop-Manual” completely. What should I do so that the contents are displayed on the Portfolio page me. Is there a YouTube video tutorial on this?If someone has bought something, there is soon a shopping cart in the header so you can see what is in the cart.Other than that I like your template very well. All other templates always look almost the same, but your looks better. Something different. Good job.

Hi Marius,
I’m afraid we don’t have a video tutorial for that but I’ll try to explain it to you step by step.
I think you mean this portfolio type: http://theme-dutch.compresents/joop/portfolio-full-screen/
This portfolio is created by using an empty page with a Fullscreen Posts Slider.
First we will create the slider.
The fullscreen posts slider displays the posts that you have added to certain categories.
1| Create a new category that we will be using to group all your portfolio items
2| Create posts. For every item you would like to add to your portfolio, you create a new post.
Make sure this post has:
– Title
– Text/content (for the preview)
– Featured image (the image used by the slider)
Lastly, assign the post to the portfolio category you have created.
3| When you have created posts for your portfolio and you have added them to the category. go to appearance -> Joop -> sliders and create a new “Fullscreen Posts Slider”.
4| type the name of your portfolio category in the text area for “categories” if you want to display multiple categories in one slider, seperate them with commas “,” .
5| Select how many posts you want the slider to show and how many words the excerpt should contain. Choose to enable the slideshow function if you want it to slide automatically and select to show the thumbnail (smaller image) or not. Save the slider
6| The slider is ready. Now it’s time to make a page to show it on. Create a new page, add a title but no other content. Then in the page options for “Page background” choose “slider” then at “Background slider” choose the slider you have just created.
7| Save the page and add it to your menu in appearance -> menus.
I hope this helps you creating the portfolio.

I see you also mentioned the shopping cart but am not sure if you have a question about that too. If you do have a question about the shopping cart, could you try asking it once more? I’m not sure I understand it right now.
Kind regards,
Kevin

Hi Marius
The portfolio full screen posts slider Kevin suggested is a great way to showcase your products if you want to include the small post box in the bottom right corner. This appears to be a default setting. If you are looking to showcase full screen images without any post snippets I would use the Layers Slider plugin. It’s a great tool for this. My only gripe is that when you scale the screen down the images default to the top of the screen and leave white space underneath if you have no content on that page.
I’m going to ask the forums if this is standard.
Hope you find this useful.
Olivia
