    Hi,

thanks for a WP Theme with great potential. I want to hide the WP Dashboard for non-admin users, and while I am fairly certain that I saw the option somewhere, I cannot find it anymore.
Any help would be greatly apprciated.

    cheers,
    René

    Hi Rene,

I’m afraid there isn’t a theme function for this. Furthermore, if I am not mistaken this isn’t a standard wordpress option either. I do believe there are ways to do this though. I could suggest you to look up plugins that might serve this functionality, otherwise there should be php hacks for your wordpress files that enable you to do this or plugins that allow you to manage your user roles can be used to influence that.

    Kind regards,
    Kevin

    G’Day.

As Kevin has mentioned there are a number of Plugins that you could use to achieve your goal.
One Plugin you might like to consider is Advanced Access Manager - http://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-access-manager/ - it is free in the WordPress Plugin Directory.
I have only had a cursory look at it, but I do know of other developers that have used it and recommend it strongly. It does take a bit getting your head around its operation but maybe you could test it out on a localHost before installing it on a live site.

    Cheers,
    Michael.
