I went to upload the dummy content and while it was uploading something went wrong. It now appears that images from the dummy content are in my media folder, however the site itself is not loaded the way the demo is. I believe the somehow the upload was interrupted. I need the dummy content there so that I can create my site around and from it.

I cannot do anything to build my site without the dummy content being there as a framework. Can you please help? I need to be able to reinstall it however it is saying it is already there - and hasn’t given me any options to uninstall the half of it that actually came through.

I am attaching screen shots to show what has loaded, and what has not. There are no pages set up, as there should be displaying the dummy content. In addition when I went into a page to see what was there, when I clicked on short codes, there was nothing there.

    Please help. Thank you.

    Robin

    Hi Robin,

    You can try this.
    Tools/Import/Wordpress
    And import the Box-dummy.xml file.
You can find the xml here: box/tdframework/dummy/dummy-content.xml

Don’t import the images as they already in you’re media section, this will speed up the process.

If all is okey, there should now be pages and post. ( I assume that you have the td-shortcodes plugin installed ).

    If this still not work:
Reset your database or create a fresh new one, and use the import feature again but this time take a long coffee break. :)

    Good luck,
    Mike

Mike I appreciate your help. I did what you told me to do.

The dummy content xml file is showing up in my media library, but nothing has changed. When I clicked on it to see what happened when I opened it, nothing was there.

I’m past coffee and think this may require wine at this point…

How can I reset my database or create a fresh new one? I am not sure what you mean by that? Apparently that is what I need to do. I am feeling much like the “dummy” here at this point.

    Thanks
    Robin

Mike I just went into Filezilla and I am deleting the entire BOX theme from the FTP. I am guessing that might be what you meant- but I don’t know for sure. I am hoping this will help. Once that is done, I am going to start over and hopefully my headache will be gone!

    thanks

    Goodmorning Robin,

We use this plugin to reset a database

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-database-reset/

This way all your data is removed from the database.

How you need to create a new one, please read the codex of wordpress

    http://codex.wordpress.org/

When your database is clean again, install the theme file and plugins redux, td-shortcodes.
And install the dummy importer again, but wait at least 15 minutes or so. It depends of the speed of your server how long it will take.

At some point you think that it’s broken but in facts it’s not. Even when you don’t see pages and post and images, the server is still importing.

( We’re talking to add a light version of the dummy content, it will consist just a few pages but still it will be a starting point.) This will follow in the next update.

    How was the wine?
