I can create a slider (give it a name and style), click on “edit”, but when I try to add a slide, nothing happens. Nada. It’s like the link doesn’t work. I installed the Freeze theme via the zipped folder and everything is there. I’ve tried editing in Chrome and Firefox and same issue. Does this theme need to be updated for WordPress 3.5? I tried installing The Basics before Freeze and couldn’t get anything to work, so I gave up and installed Freeze instead. This is getting very frustrating.
20/01/2013 at 11:17 AM #10313Hi Dacia,
Have you got any plugins installed? This might be a jQuery conflict with one of your plugins.
20/01/2013 at 11:29 AM #10316No - I have zero plugins. Fresh install of wordpress and only this theme. I have re-installed the theme multiple times, re-installed wordpress over and over, nothing works. I put this theme on two different domains with no plugins and same issue with both domains.
22/01/2013 at 3:19 PM #10335Hmm, It’s very probably a wp3.5 incompatibility then. It should get fixed in the next update that involves the wp3.5 compatibility. We’re working on realeasing that for all our themes at the moment.
14/02/2013 at 4:36 AM #10698I’m running wordpress 3.4.2. I reverted since I couldnt get the theme sliders to work. Still the same issue though.
14/02/2013 at 11:10 AM #10704Hi Dacia,
Could you perhaps send me the credentials for an administrator account as well as a link to the site via the forum’s private messaging function? I’d like to take a look at it myself, if that’s possible. I hope to get a better view on what’s happening if I go there and see what’s going on.

15/02/2013 at 12:53 PM #10727Hi,
It looks like you are missing some files in your WordPress installation. The theme is having trouble accessing multiple files in your wp-includes folder. This is a standard wordpress folder (no relation to themes or plugins) so somehow it appears that your wordpress installation misses files.
What you c0uld try doing is download a fresh version of wordpress (the same wordpress version you have now, so that’s WordPress 3.4.2.
From there grab the folder called “js” found in wp-includes.
Go to your FTP and navigate to the wp-includes folder
In the includes folder, rename the folder called “js” to “js_old” or anything like that
Copy the “js” folder from your fresh download to the FTP.
See if anything has changed to the slider’s behavior.

15/02/2013 at 11:23 PM #10730Nope - No change. I installed wordpress originally via my hosting account. I uploaded the entire js file from wp 3.4.2 twice just to be sure. Nada.
16/02/2013 at 11:37 AM #10733Hmm ok,
Now that we are sure the correct files are there, could you perhaps check the file permissions?
I’ve gone and checked them over here (for the wp-includes/js folder) and they are set to 755 for us.
The problem is that somehow your theme isn’t able to reach the wp-includes files, which I believe can be because the files do not exist or because the permissions won’t allow it.

16/02/2013 at 12:27 PM #10736Well i went through and changed every single folder and file in the wp-includes/js folder to 755 permissions. Every single file. Still no change. Did you happen to notice any specific files or folders that the theme is having problems with?
16/02/2013 at 12:33 PM #10737Do the theme files need to be set to 755 as well?
