Dear Theme Dutch staff,
I love all your themes, and James was the theme of our choice for our little enterprise (very little).
But the contact page is not working. When I submit the information, the number “1″ appear in the fields, there is no error message, and nothing is sent.
The page is this (I translated the words to my language in the “contact.php” page itself, I did not find a better way to do it):http://cinderela.x10.mx/james/?page_id=68
One minor thing: I put google analytics, and now every single page and post shows the google analytics code in the upper rigth corner! Enter in any page here and you will see it.

29/09/2012 at 1:00 PM #8560Hi,
For this first problem in the contact page, I can’t seem to access the URL provided to take a look, the problem you are encountering sounds a little odd though, are you sure not to have changed any words that the theme uses to process these contact e-mails to a different language, causing the theme to be unable to gather the information in the fields.
This second problem looks like you haven’t added the correct piece of code. Have you added only that one piece of code shown in the top left corner of every page? You’ll want to add the total piece of code including the HTML tags etc that google provides you with.

You were right about the google analytics code. Now it is fixed.
But the problem with the contact page still happens. I reuploaded the original file (contact.php), and the problem is still there. Strange that you could not access the page. Can you please try again, because the host was down for a couple of days in september (we will move to another host soon).
Thank you very much again!
Best regards,
Cassio10/10/2012 at 12:57 PM #8672Dear Cassio,
The problems you’re having now we can not solve without looking deeper. If you can not fix it yourself, we’ll have to look up the changes you’ve made in order to find it. Probably you’ll have to hire us and we can try and see if we can fix this within an hour.
10/01/2013 at 9:57 AM #10186Hi all,
I had the same issue with James Theme 1.4 and WP 3.4.2. Although I do not work for theme-dutch.com support, I found a solution that might help other users like you, Cassio. There are two problems:
1. The file “contact.php” could not read anything from the session, because session was not initiallized, and thus the expected captcha value was empty (which is never the case if you hash it with md5). To solve this, edit the “functions.php” file and add these lines at the very top of the file:
<?php
if (!isset($_SESSION)) {
session_start();
}
?>This will make the captcha work out.
2. The “1″ coming in the contact form fields are another programming error in the “contact.php” file. Some “isset(…)” keywords have to be removed. For example, for the field “name”, just scroll in “contact.php” and find the corresponding line:
<div><input type=”text” name=”contact-name” value=”<?php echo isset($_POST['contact-name']); ?>”<?php if($contactNameRequired == ‘true’) { ?><?php } ?> /></div>
And remove this “isset(” and “)” letters:
<div><input type=”text” name=”contact-name” value=”<?php echo $_POST['contact-name']; ?>”<?php if($contactNameRequired == ‘true’) { ?><?php } ?> /></div>
And do the same thing with other fields like mail or message.
Hope this helps you Cassio, and the support, as well…
10/01/2013 at 4:59 PM #10198Dear Micael Paquier, your answer was spot on! Thank you very much! Everything is fine with the contact page.
Sometimes I thought the problem would be with the server that hosted my site, because even a vanilla install of the theme had the same problem.
Since I have little to no knowledge of php language, I couldn’t fix it myself.
Again, thank you for your time and attention!11/01/2013 at 7:28 AM #10202Glad that my answer could help you
