    In reference to this post in “regular” James forum:

    Hi Kevin,

    I tried using the gallery shortcodes, but no luck. I tried using your sample code, and still nothing.

    You’ll see the code on this page: http://www.immortalgamefilm.com/press/

    Any ideas?

    Hi Amber,

    I think the fastest way to come to a conclusion on this one would be if I were to check out the back-end of your website for a bit. See if I can figure out what’s going wrong.

    If you wish, you could send me login credentials to an admin account via e-mail to kevin(a)theme-dutch.com. Preferably, add a link to this topic so I’ll know what issue I’m looking for.

    Hi,

    This appears to be a bug in the theme. I’ve sent this through to our developers to fix and update.

    Hi Amber,

    I’m discussing it with one of our programmers but we’ve not quite figured this one out yet I’ll keep you posted when I know more.

    Hi Amber,

    The gallery appears to work properly, the thing is that the “url” part needs to include an image tag. So not just the URL but an entire html img tag with a href=”" that will include the URL. You can for example use the “insert into post” button from your media library that will output an img tag.

    I understand how that’s not very clear though… didn’t figure it out myself either.

    Hi Kevin,

    Can you give me an example batch of working code that I can pop in, play with, and then replace?

    Many thanks,

    Amber

    Hi,

    As theres image tags involved, I figured I’d make you a screenshot so I’ll be sure the code would come across properly in the post

    [tdgallery columns="2"]

    [image url="<img src="https://www.google.com/intl/nl_ALL/images/logos/images_logo_lg.gif" alt="alt" width="200px" height="auto">" title="image title" description="image description"]

    [image url="<img src="https://www.google.com/intl/nl_ALL/images/logos/images_logo_lg.gif" alt="alt" width="200px" height="auto">" title="image title" description="image description"]

    [/tdgallery]

    Edit: Seems to have worked properly in text as well :)

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for this. It looks great. I have one question: can you advise me on the code I need to create a white border around the images? I’ve tried a bunch of options but nothing seems to work.

    Thanks again,

    Amber

    Hi Amber,

    I think pretty much the only way to do it is by adding it to the css file. This will make borders for all the gallery images out on your website though. I must say I haven’t fully tested if it might affect any other images as well but I believe it shouldn’t

    Add the CSS ] Border: solid 3px #ffffff to this part of the css in shortcodes.css around line 569

    ul.shortcode-gallery > li img {

    ….

    }

    That will give you a 3px white border.

    Hi Kevin,

    I tried this, can you check that it’s correct? I’m not getting any change:

    ul.shortcode-gallery > li img {

    margin: 0 2.5%;

    max-width: 95%;

    height: auto;

    opacity: 1;

    Border: solid 3px #ffffff

    Does it change anything if you end that css statement(border:solid 3px #ffffff) With a semicolon “;” ? I see I forgot that one in my previous post.

    If not, would you mind linking me towards the page you are using this gallery on?
