Hi Stephanie,
What I personally tend to do when updating themes is first making a backup on my computer of the current theme. Then rename that one to JamesOld and upload the new one, then if you need to switch, rename the new one to JamesNew and the old one back to James. That way you won’t be confused by which one is the new and which is the old one.
The thing is that the theme will look for things in the folder called “James” and if the active theme is called James2, these searches might get messed up.

29/03/2013 at 10:03 AM #11219Hi Kevin,
I am receiving the same error messages when I preview the new version after renaming etc. I am not sure how to get round this & have now switched back to the old version.
Do you think there could be an issue with the ftp transfer?29/03/2013 at 6:56 PM #11225Hi Stephanie,
Could you perhaps send me login details to your website via our forum’s private messaging function? I’m not sure at this moment if it will help me find exactly what’s going on but I think I’ll have a greater chance at finding out when I have access to the WP-admin.
Preferably on James1.5
You can send private messages by clicking on my name to the left of this post.

30/03/2013 at 11:10 AM #11229Hi Stephanie,
Could you go check in your version of James1.5 whether there’s a file called theme_options.php in the folder “lib”
the file path is james/lib/theme_options.php

No I don’t see this file and on closer inspection …
Several folders and files seem to be missing.
The issue seems to be unzipping and copying the folders prior to ftp upload.
I will try this on another computer, see if I can replace the missing files.02/04/2013 at 4:52 PM #11252Hi Stephanie,
There appeared to be a few files missing in the themeforest version. We are solving that when we release the new update. for now I could help you by uploading a complete version of the theme to your ftp myself, if you’d like.
I would normally ask you to send me the details through private message but we’ve taken that system offline for a little while due to a spamming problem. For the time being, you can use e-mail instead.
If you’d wish for me to install our current version of the theme, I would need to have the FTP details, as well as wp-admin details (so I can check if everything works). If you could send that in an e-mail to kevin(a)theme-dutch.com that would be great. Preferably add a URL to this forum topic for my reference.

I’ve updated the theme for you, go ahead and check it out
06/04/2013 at 3:12 PM #11277That’s great thanks … we got there.
Am I good to go with a WordPress update too?
Is 1.5 fully functioning with WordPress 3.5.1?08/04/2013 at 7:24 PM #11285Hi Stephanie,
James 1.5 doesn’t yet support it. The new james (2.0) that should be coming out soon (currently being tested and building a new demo website) will be 3.5 compatible.
