    The header bar changes heights when the page is refreshed and sometimes cuts off the logo. I have tried using the same image that was used on the preview site, but the height still changes. The best way to describe the problem is to just show you:

    <a href =”http://buck.ncsgnola.com/example2.png”>Correct Header Height</a>

    <a href =”http://buck.ncsgnola.com/example1.png”>Inorrect Header Height</a>

    <a href =”http://buck.ncsgnola.com”>Client Website</a>

    I’ve tried this in both IE9 and Firefox, and the header height randomly changes when I refresh the page. I tried to find something in the CSS that would explain this, but I haven’t had any luck.

    Thanks for your assistance!

    Apparently I messed up with the tags in the first post, it should be:

    Correct Header Height

    Incorrect Header Height

    Client Website

    Hi Pac,

    I see what you mean and I think this problem is caused by the large height of the logo used. What I think might be happening is that where the theme was designed to use a certain header size, when the logo gets larger chrome handles this overflow slightly different than IE and Firefox do. Chrome just decides to scale up the header, making the logo fit, where IE and Firefox appear to not always do the same thing, which I expect to be something caused by a certain file loading order that might change when certain files get loaded faster than the others.

    What you can see is that at the intended header size as used at our demo, no problems exist in any of the browsers. The size it sometimes flicks back to on IE and FF is the one the header was designed to have.

    Thanks for the reply. Where in the CSS can I change that designed height? The logo can’t be any smaller than it is and still be legible. Logo’s are fluid from one company to another. There should be a way to change the size to accommodate the many different logo’s out there.

    Thanks again.

    Also, Chrome does the same thing and cuts off part of the logo at different times as well. The only browser I haven’t tried this in is Opera.

    After a second look I actually think there might be a bit more to it than just the css, I’ll be posting this to our development team, for them to take a better look at what exactly is going on.

    I’ve made a few changes at the request of the client and have now removed the header image from the website (the logo is also smaller). Now, when the size change occurs, the area behind the logo changes to black, is no longer semi-transparent, and hides the content as I scroll down the page. Just like before, it occurs randomly and across multiple browsers (still don’t have opera to test it on).

    after a little more digging and using Firefox’s “Inpsect Element” tool; it appears there is some sort of inline element that is changing a height to 164px. the print out looks like this:

    “inline

    element {
    height: 164px;
    }”

    It doesn’t give a line number or any other information. When that appears in the code, the page loads incorrectly. When that code doesn’t appear, everything is fine. Oh, this extra line of code appears for the section “div#header”. That’s all I’ve been able to find.
