Hi
First of all I have to say that I love James!
But when I upload an image to the homepage it does not appear on the front end. What could be the problem because the same image shows up on the 404 page?

Could you send me a link to your websites, as well as notify me on what version of James and wordpress you are using?

17/04/2013 at 5:38 PM #11380Alright,
I’ve got a few more things to ask you then (as James2.0 is our latest version indeed so that’s not the issue)
What type of page are you using for your homepage? Is it a latest posts type or a static page, and furthermore, what type of background have you selected for that page? So basically what did you choose for those two options? I’d like to try and recreate the issue on my testing page so we can see what’s going on exactly.
Also, are you currently running wordpress version 3.5.1? And did you try turning off all plugins you might have installed?
So 4 things:
1- Homepage type (Latest post / static page)
2- Baclground type or category setup type (Depending on answer for #1) (gallery / video / bricks / etc…).
3- WordPress version?
4- If you’ve got any plugins installed, have you tried with the plugins turned off?

2- Background type (gallery).
3- WordPress 3.5.1
4- Installed plugins are not activated?18/04/2013 at 5:14 PM #11391Hi,
I’ve tested this exact setup on my testpage (both with a picture i’m hosting myself aswell as one hosted on a random website found with google, as well with multiple images in a gallery but I’m not experiencing any problems.
I would however like to investigate this a little further on your website if that’s a possibility.
If you’d like me to take a look, I want to ask you to send me an e-mail with an admin login aswell as a link to your website so I can go check it back-end. Preferably also add a link to this topic so I know what the question is about. You can send the e-mail to kevin(a)theme-dutch.com

19/04/2013 at 1:35 AM #11395Hi Kevin,
I fixed the problem! I feel so silly to say what I was doing wrong but I will say it for the benefit of others who may have this problem in the future.
My home page was not working because all my pages were privately published so I was unable to select a static page to use as the frontpage.
Sorry about that

It’s often little things like these that can have you looking for a solution for hours so don’t worry about it. I’m just glad you found it!
