Hi,
Please see this error
http://www.buyourhouseinfrance.co.uk/
I was informed by a friend who i did the website for that it has stopped working. The last time it was touched was when it was built.
So i try to fix, WordPress i updated, and I also updated to the latest screen theme, but I get the same error.
It is definitely theme related as I have activated twenty ten theme successfully, but now activating screen theme we still have this error.
What to do ? I would really like help on this asap i have no 3rd party plugins installed.
Please advise me what i can do ?
thanks,
tom
09/08/2013 at 7:39 AM #12494Hi Tom,
Screen’s latest version on Themeforest is 2.0 and it runs on WordPress 3.5.
Are these the versions you are using? Thanks,
Helen09/08/2013 at 7:44 AM #12495Hi Tom,
I’ve not contacted our developer yet, but I can see Screen1.3 in the error you’ve sent.Fatal error: Call to undefined function session_unregister() in /homepages/6/d254631718/htdocs/buyourhouseinfrance/wp-content/themes/Screen1.3/lib/grace_frontend.php on line 4
Thanks,
Helen09/08/2013 at 9:04 AM #12498Thanks Helen, but it is updated to screen 1.4, i just updated the files in the folder 1.3 with 1.4 files..
On themeforest the latest screen theme is 1.4
http://themeforest.net/item/screen-the-next-generation-wordpress-theme/125148
I have just uploaded 1.4 folder again, and activated that theme, so you can see
Fatal error: Call to undefined function session_unregister() in /homepages/6/d254631718/htdocs/buyourhouseinfrance/wp-content/themes/Screen1.4/lib/grace_frontend.php on line 4
Please contact your developer or let me know where is version 2 and I will try that..
many thanks,
tom

I’ll contact our developers asap, and let you know what to do.
Thank you,
Helen09/09/2013 at 1:20 PM #12696Hi Tom,
Our support staff contacted me, because of your post and issues with Screen. I appologize for not coming back to you much sooner. Since we’ve over 19.000 users, we sometimes make mistakes like this.
The current version of Screen is 1.4 and still running on WordPress 3.4 as stated on Themeforest.
We’ve had several discussions about updating Screen (yes/no), since it was built in 2010, and lots of things have changed since then. Responsiveness, new and more shortcodes and so on..
Meanwhile Screen is updated to WordPress 3.6 and includes ‘new shortcodes’. First all pages need to be re-formatted again though. After that the theme also needs to be tested, before we can upload it to themeforest again. I can not give you a straight answer when it will be available again. For now, the only thing you can do is to go back to WP 3.4., and then it probably runs again. Time is not always on our side..Best wishes,
Helen30/12/2013 at 2:26 PM #13569Can you please look into your faulty screen theme ASAP.
I have been waiting patiently for 3 months for a solution !
It was nothing I did, and your fix to make.
31/12/2013 at 8:08 AM #13573HI Tom,
I have requested a status update on this for you. I’ll keep you posted as soon as I hear more.
Kind regards,
Kevin
31/12/2013 at 8:33 AM #13576Hi Tom,
We’ve got a screen version2.0 which is finished but not yet tested thoroughly enough to be updated to Themeforest. It currently runs on WP3.6.1 and we’ve given it out to some other Screen users who were experiencing issues with the aged version of the theme, from which we haven’t received a lot of bug reports (which could count as a test in a way as well).
If you’re interested, I could send that newer version to you as well. It might help you out getting your site up and running again.
If you’d like me to send it. Please shoot me an e-mail to kevin(a)theme-dutch.com requesting the Screen2.0 theme, preferably also add a link towards this topic to your e-mail, so I can verify your request.
Kind regards,
Kevin
