    Kevin,

    G’Day.

Now that the developers/upgraders of WordPress v3.6 have indicated that the Post Format UI won’t be part of the core WordPress files will the upgraded Milmag that will support WP v3.6 support the Post Format UI for developers to add to the core Wp files and then be accessable in Mikmag ?

    Thanks.

    Michael.

    Kevin.

Thanks for forwarding my query on to the developer(s).

Post Format UI has been around for quite a while now, but were one of the hidden gems of WordPress and were only able to be used if a theme developer had set up the coding to ‘acknowledge’ them and then a web designer had added some code to the WordPress wp-config file. In WP v3.6 they were originally going to be a standard option to choose when creating a Post but after some firestorm within the WP developers community that option has been withdrawn and now will only be able to be enabled via a Plugin - again, allowing for a theme developer to have added the appropriate code to accept this option.

I find them quite useful when having a Blog or say newsy type site as you can distinguish your Posts as a Quote, Aside, Chat, Audio, etc. So it will be interesting to see what your developer(s) says.

    Cheers,

    Michael.

As for my previous Id - Windycityfella- I have been unable to access the Members area using that Id for a few weeks now. Each time I do I get the following error:

503: Service Temporarily UnavailableToo many IP addresses accessing one secure area! Please contact Support if you need assistance.

I’m not sure what is causing this error, and I know that another member had the same problem (as written on the ThemeForest Comments forum). I’ve tried access via different browsers, cleared the cache on my PC, rebooted my router and modem for my internet connection. Nothing. Still the same issue. So in frustration I sent an email to Helen and she was helpful in suggesting I re-register under a different Id, and of course I had to use a different email address as my main one was still associated with my old Id. So you can see that I did, and Helen added my new Id back into the Beta forums.

    Strange, eh !

    Hi

As at this point the formats are still there in the 3.6Beta, our developers will have to wait for the next beta or the release until they can make a final decision on how to go about this.

    Kevin

    That’s pretty strange indeed.
