G’Day.

I’ve been testing out the creating of Posts and using the various Post Types and have some observations and questions.

1. It appears that all the standard type posts have been designed with an area for a featured image to appear on the left-hand side when viewed on a Post (listing) page - like a front page. This looks messed up when some posts don’t have any featured image. Can the posts all be left justified and only show the featured image when one is attached to the post.

2. Secondly, even though I have included content in the Excerpts area of a Post this dos not appear to be called when Posts are listed on say a front page, etc. The whole Post is shown for each Post, making the Page one that is long and way ‘below the crease’.

3. I see that there is the option to allocate a Post to a particular Post Type - Standard, Aside, Quote, Video, etc. But even if I allocate a Post to one of these Type options it does not appear to do anything when viewed on a Post (listing) page like the front page, etc. That is, there is no particular/specific styling. So, are these just there because they are part of the WordPress setup or is this a bug ?

4. When allocating a Post to either the Audio or Video Post Type, the Post broke the website. The post did not appear and all that showed was the background image that I have on the site.

The theme is being tested against WordPress ver 3.5.1 on a localhost using the Desktop Server application.
