Hi
I have a problem on my site with bolg images.
For some reason the first image in a blog (which has 3 images) gets stretched across the page. It doesn’t matter which image I put first it always gets resized but the others are okay.http://www.myspgolf.co.uk/category/blog
Please can you help?
thanks
Darron

Do you mean the category page (the list of posts) or the blog post itself? Just want to make sure I’m looking at the right thing
03/12/2012 at 2:14 PM #9336Hi Kevin
I mean the link in my post above. If you click it and take a look you’ll see an image at the top of the page (It’s been stretched). But if you click the image then on the next page it displays correctly.
Any ideas why the original is being stretched?
Cheers
Darron

05/12/2012 at 3:49 PM #9347Hi Darron,
What’s happening here is that there’s a set size for the image displayed in the blog list. The image it grabs here is smaller than that, plus it has a different shape (its more of a square image than the rectangular shape it is turned into). These two things cause the image to first rescale so it fits the full width (stretching) and then it is being cropped to get the correct height.
Adding a larger image to the post would solve the stretching, also what you could do is change the layout of your blog list, by going to the screen admin panel and in the blog tab changing the amount of columns. Choosing more columns will result in smaller header images, which means it won’t need stretching.
20/12/2012 at 11:43 AM #9543Hi thanks for the reply
All my standard pages look great but the blog and one page which has a category assigned have problems.

The spacing at the top is wrong. It only happens where there is category in the url.
An ideas how I can add a little spacing?
Thanks

20/12/2012 at 12:38 PM #9544Hi kevin
I managed to make this a little better by altering the content top margin.
However the standard pages sit differently to the blog pages still (top margin)Can you point me to some css where I can control the blog margin so I can try to even this up?
Thanks
Darron

This doesn’t look quite logical. We haven’t got this problem on our demo website and I can’t seem to recreate it either.

Have you made any changes to the theme’s files? What happens if when you download a fresh version from themeforest and install that, does that change anything?
