thumbnail is not showing up. here is what we get when i try to open the thumbnail in new tab.. I followed all instructions. Created a page, and then tried to add slides but the thumbnail has a X broken image in EDIT mode and also on the .com.

07/11/2012 at 4:55 PM #8954Hi Robert,
I’m having some trouble catching exactly what you mean, could you perhaps supply me with a URL so I can see it all happening? That should give me some more clues to work with.

08/11/2012 at 6:22 PM #8963hi Kevin,
Here ill load the dummy content for you so you can see. i also have this on a test domain with no plugins
installed. Notice the thumbnails. This also happened to another woman i read her post and your admins asked if she would post here in this forum. i did search for her ticket but cant find it. you asked her to load the dummy content and she didnt comment after that only that it still didnt show the thumbnails. Please help, chat later.08/11/2012 at 7:11 PM #8964when you copy the Thumbnail Image URL there are errors which seem like its having a problem generating the thumbnails. probably one of you .php files that need to be edited ? not sure ~
However in “Edit Mode” where we create the slides, ‘choose the photos’ the thumbnail doesnt show up either. same broken box is displayed.

12/11/2012 at 1:02 PM #8995Hi,
I think that what’s happening here is the permission rights on your uploads folder (that should contain the images being turned into thumbnails) are not allowing the thumbnails to be accessed and processed from the thumbnail script. Try increasing the permission rights on your uploads folder.

12/11/2012 at 4:35 PM #8997I worked with Godaddy admins and we modified the security on the uploads folder and it didnt work. can you tell me which file to edit so i can remove the thumbnail display? Thanks in advance.
12/11/2012 at 4:38 PM #8998Unless it is needed, i guess they don’t need to see the thumbs until we find a solution in the future. Thanks again.
12/11/2012 at 4:48 PM #8999Maybe it is somewhere in this script ? i just cant find the file but i see the output so maybe we can turn off the thumbnail display, yet still have the ability to show the slideshow. thanks again

Because of the images showing properly in the slider (in full size) but not the resized thumbnail versions, I really do think it has something to do with them going through this resizer script. If augmenting the file permissions of the uploads folder to 777 didn’t do anything for you, I’d suggest you to first try re-installing the theme to make sure you don’t have any corrupt files.
Download a fresh version of the theme, then remove (or rename for backup purposes) the currently installed version and finally upload the freshly downloaded version. See if this changed anything. The thumbnails are quite a vital part of the navigation for your slider and I wouldn’t see a way in which it could be a theme bug causing this. It does work on our demo page, which is where the uploaded theme came from.
