I have upgraded to James 1.5 (from 1.3) and am discovering some issues. Firstly shortcodes no longer work. On top of that the new shortcodes do not appear to be working either (ie I do not see the J in posts).

I have tried several clean installs and repro consistently. This is on WordPress 3.4.2

    Question:
    1. What plugins do I need to install?
I have installed MooCommerce, but looks like the shortcodes are based on another plugin. Which one should I install?

In the themeforest update log, it explains that the shortcodes have been replaced:

    Update 1.5: 28-11-2012
    Added: WooCommerce integration

    NOTE:
BEFORE YOU UPDATE YOUR OLDER VERSION OF JAMES TO 1.5. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL OLD SHORT CODES ARE REPLACED BY NEW ONES. It may effect the layout of your website if you’ve used short codes in a previous version of theme James.

I have exactly the same problem, I have updated to version 1.5 and cannot see the J icon which is very frustrating also when you upgrade to wordpress 3.5 you lose the kitchen sink!

    Hello everybody.

James 1.5 needs to be updated to WordPress 3.5 and will be uploaded to Themeforest as soon as we can.
Before we upload it, we need to run some tests first.

Thanks in advance for a little bit patience,
    Helen

If James was WP 3.5 ready, you could read it on Themeforest.

Thanks for the reply Helen but it would be really useful to know when this might be. There’s no point continuing in 1.4 if the shortcodes don’t work in 1.5 and I still don’t get the J icon if I work in WordPress 3.4.2, so I’m really stuck, so some idea would be great if only to tell the client that a solution is on the way.

    Thanks

If we download the James 1.5 from themeforest it seems the lib/shortcodes folder is empty!!! Is this the reason we have shortcodes issues with the new version?

    Hi Steve,

I’ve passed your issue to our developers. They need to check this immediately!. Because of Christmas, you may expect a little delay. Thanks for posting this.

    Hi
Is it soo difficult for someone to upload to james 1.5 folder at themeforest the lib/shortcodes folder so we can continue with our work? Or can we downloaded somewhere here in your website? Or can you email the James 1.5 file to me? I am waiting from 15th of December for a solution to this. Thanks in advance
