I created memberships on my website as products through woocommerce. I set the membership length and roles as I was supposed to. I just tried it and in the um switcher plugin I saw that it did not work and that I got this error: Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message. Please let me know if you need more details to help me resolve this. Thanks!

Did you follow the installation instructions, cronjob etc?: https://theme-dutch.com/um-switcher/manual-um-switcher/ I cant check this as I don’t have FTP. But make sure all fields in cron.php are correct.
If you still have this issue, please also send ftp login details and we will look into this on Monday.

I actually didn’t do anything regarding the cronjob because I read this:”In cases where subscription plans are based on days or even months, and the access expiration is flexible, you can even skip setting up a cronjob, as the built-in Cronjob from WordPress will take over.” Since my memberships are 1 and 2 years long, I figured I did not have to. Is this incorrect?

Well I cant discuss this right now, as our expert is having weekend. And normally this is correct, however it still looks like a cron issue. So to rule this out it’s best to add a cronjob. If that is not fixing the error notice, then the next thing would be deactivate all other plugins. Or try that first.
If that all not helps, we have to look into your installation on Monday. Keep me posted over the weekend so in case our expert is needed I can ask him to check it first thing on Monday, send me also FTP details.
